It’s a confidence think with DCL as with a lot of strikers. Sometimes it’s hard to reach the standards you had before an injury when you return. I had no complaints with his finishing earlier in the season. He’ll find his rhythm again now that he’s got a goal.

I think if you didn't have any issues with his finishing earlier in the season its simply because you were duped by number of goals he was scoring - the vast majority were sitters and tap ins like last night. For me his finishing needs a lot of work and so does his movement.

Yes i agree i live the lad he works so hard and he does the dirty work his goals are usually headers or being in the right place to tap in. But his finishing in-front of goal is not the best when its a one on one situation he struggles i think he will work on it but if leeds score another last night we would be on er saying dcl shoulda had a hatrick 😂.

Have another look at the run he makes to get in position to be able to take the chance. A lot of strikers wouldn't have even bothered trying to catch up with Dacoure there. And give some credit to the keeper, he was out quick and didn't go to ground like most do.
As for tap in's. Some of the best strikers in the world were the one's who were deadly from six yards out.
The guy is still young and doing a fantastic job for the team, and let's face it, if the service was better to him then he would have had a lot more.
Just remind me how many has he scored so far?

Reading the above posts about DCL and his finishing. 80% of being a striker is about being in the right place at the right time, Lineker was a master at it. DCLs movement off the ball is fantastic prob the best in the PL atm, how often do you see an out an out striker score outside of the box nowadays? So 16 goals for DCL will do me no matter how he gets them 🤷‍♂️.

Am not slating the lad i have not questioned is positioning or his work rate all am saying is he needs to work on his finishing. If we had drawed last night we would be looking at the chances he wasted. His one on one situations i don't fancy him to score maybe is conference or he is still learning yes the lads doing well and we need him. am sure he will be practicing all this in training.

I think it’s just a lack of confidence Callum cause he’s our best finisher in training almost every week. If he had these chances a month ago he would of scored them both. The goal last night would of done him wonders. He’s a decent finisher. I remember when he first signed and was full of confidence, he smashed two goals against United that were more difficult than last nights. I’m hoping for some deja vu Saturday night like :)

One post said it was just short headers and tap-ins. Like I said I'm not bothered as long as he's scoring.

DCL will continue to get better.
