Hi all, I am new to the site, first time poster and want to review the team for the next few games and beyond. I would love your views to my post.

FORMATION CHANGE:-

After witnessing the last few inept performances from the blues especially after our marvelous start to the season, I think a change in formation is required.

I believe James needs to be moved centrally into the Number 10 role, with Richarlison on the left (now that he is back) and either Bernard, Gordon or Iwobi on the right. Any of these 3 will give better defensive cover for Coleman as he is exposed at right-back and all teams are exploiting our weakness down our right-hand side.
This will allow Allan and Doucouré to sit and stay compact in the middle as at the moment they are not able to sit in their positions due to James not tracking back so they are always getting pushed out wide. I think James will serve us better in the Number 10 role and pick up pockets of space between the opposition lines. This enables us also to get Sigurdsson out of the team as sadly he offers nothing to the team anymore.

So, for the next few games, I would like to see this formation 4-3-2-1-1:

Pickford or Olsen

Coleman, (Holgate or Mina) , Keane, Digne

Davies, Allan, Doucouré

(Iwobi or Gordon or Bernard) , Richarlison

James

Calvert-Lewin

What are your thoughts EDs and fellow blues

ED 2, ha ha, yes just realised, still the theory would be interesting to get James in the 10 role. So it would have to be 4.4.1.1.

Woburns got a good side there but Branthwaite needs a consideration - he's probably the best left sided central defender we have although I recognise he is very young and there could be blips. I'd think about putting him in and moving Holgate into midfield instead of Dacoure

Rodrigues and Ricky could swap places maybe but would work if very fluid in their positioning.
