Hi Ed 002. I'm a bit confused with this Chermiti (spelling) ? If he signs, as is being reported, how is it feasible? Are we paying far too much for him so he can get a work permit? Is there a special case? I think you mentioned if someone has a special talent there might be a way around it. Is he a special talent? I know absolutely nothing about him, just curious as to how we're able to sign him, if we actually do sign him. Will we need to make an appeal? Does he want to sign? Sorry there's a lot of questions in there.

{Ed002's Note - In order to obtain a Work Permit Everton would need to ensure he has sufficient points and that can be done by over paying on transfer fee and wages. Alternatively, he could be loaned out. There is an Exception process for Special Talant that as far as I know has only been used once this summer by a PL club. I have no idea what the player wants.}

Ed02 - are you saying there is a strong chance Chermiti won’t even be able to put an Everton shirt on this season?

I know you understand our financial position better than most do do you think we can over pay as you have suggested or will it put us in a more troublesome situation with FFP rules?

I think it’s fair to say that unless the work permit was sorted then we wouldn’t be spending money on someone who can’t play for us .
He arrived in England yesterday. Alan Myers said medicals take two days so it will be later today or sometime tomorrow before any announcement is made. Then there’s all the media stuff he’ll need to do photos in the kit and first interview.
We can ill afford to buy someone and then loan him out again in our current financial situation
Frustrating to wait but we need to be patient.

We've bought onyekuru before we had a work permit for us and he never played a game big C so I wouldn't put it past us again haha. Hopefully not though.
