Means nothing. He still won't be signing for us. We could be after Messi, Ronaldo, Haaland, they won't be signing for us. We can't afford him and we're not appealing. He's out of our league and will have better teams after him. We're a relegating threatened, bottom half team. It's going to take years for us to be steady again and work our way towards the top 10. We're not as appealing as we once were. We can't offer the wages that we once did and we can't offer European football. We will be bringing players in that can steady us and push us up a couple of places season upon season. If and when we reach 10th in the table, maybe then will we look even remotely attractive to players like Gnoto, until then, they are out of our league and rightfully so. We aren't the attractive team that we were in the 80s, we aren't the partly attractive team that we were when we were getting into Europe under Moyes and were not the attractive team when Moshiri took over and we threw money at anyone that had ever kicked a ball. We're back to the position we were in when Moyes took over, battling relegation and trying to work our way up the table.

{Ed025's Note - the thing is dan we all have a moan and my god we have enough to warrant that, but its still our team mate and being a supporter means through the bad times as well as the good, we are in a slump of course and its tough but with Dyche in charge we could do better than we all expect, yes its an underwhelming transfer window up to now but we still have the nucleus of a half decent outfit i believe, lets get behind Sean and the boys and see how things pan out hey, if it goes tits up and we are struggling every week then we will have licence to moan to our hearts content, but this is the start of a new season..a new beginning so lets start out with a bit of belief and expectation and see how it goes..

Here, here Ed. My eyes are wide open to our short comings but I’m prepared to give Sean and the boys an opportunity to prove us wrong. Don’t go for players that will improve us and we won’t improve. Bit more wheeling and dealing and we could do a bit better than expected.

I totally agree Ed. I actually have no issues with anything so far. The likes of Gnoto isn't going to sign for us, and I've got no problem with that. I haven't even got a problem with how the transfer window has gone. Yes it's been underwhelming, but its what I expected. I expect is to be competing with the teams at the bottom and buying players that are probably bottom half of the table players. I was only pointing out that we won't be signing Gnoto or anyone like him. I'm behind Sean Dyche and the team. I wanted Sean 4 or 5 years ago, I think he's the perfect manager for us. I know we all dream of being in the top half again, but the reality is, we're nit and we're not attra time and i have no issue with that, we just need to accept we're a bottom 5 team as it stands, but like you, I think we will surprise a few this season and maybe finish 12th/ 13th or thereabouts. Dyche is a top manager. Maybe my message was read in the wrong way or I could have explained better, but I'm behind the team and manager, I understand our shortcomings and I understand our position, I just think we can't be expecting to sign decent players on high wages when we're in the position we are and then get disappointed when we don't get them. The reality is, we are we're we are and we won't be getting anyone that is anywhere near being a top player as we have a long way to go to attract them. Not negative and I actually have no problem with it, its been coming for years and I made mh peace with it 3 or 4 years ago so its no surprise to me.

{Ed025's Note - im actually looking forward to the season now dan, we have had a full pre-season and im sure Sean will know a lot more about the strengths and weakness,s of the squad, it may not be pretty but im sure he will have them giving 100% and in our position thats all we can ask for mate...anything else would be a bonus..

Me too Ed. We might struggle to score many, but we will pick up plenty of well earned points with low scoring draws and 1-0 wins. We won't be a walk over for anyone, that's for sure.

Ed 025 without naming players do you think we will finally address the forward situation by time transfer window shuts whether it would be on loan or even a free transfer or maybe buying a forward in installments be gratefull for any information.

{Ed025's Note - im hoping we will andy (mind you i said that last window) its the main thing we need mate and i think we all know that, im sure Dyche and Thelwell do as well and they will be doing everything in their power to facilitate that, it may mean selling one of our assets though..
