Is there any chance of us actually getting
Samu Chukwueze Or Kudus?
I mean chuk is an unbelievable player. Not seen loads of Kudus mind you, but there is a a lot of hype around him.

_efc_

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps - but the eventual cost of Chukwueze will make the FFP hole much bigger.}

1.) 01 Sep 2022 12:49:35
ED02 would the Kean incoming transfer fee next summer not help offset the cost of Chukwueze or have we already banked that cash with some of the players we have already signed.

{Ed002's Note - Everton has a huge problem already. They will need a lot more than that.}

2.) 01 Sep 2022 13:22:14
That's why I think it's pie in the sky, unless of course our financial wizards really wush to ignore ffp.

3.) 01 Sep 2022 14:07:01
I must admit I am somewhat surprised by what we’ve spent already, perhaps if that deal for Chukwueze comes to fruition the board are banking on a big sale next summer to offset again. Am I correct in understanding a lot of our purchases this summer have a small initial fee to try and spread the main fees to next summer? .

{Ed002's Note - Forget the finances.}

4.) 01 Sep 2022 15:43:02
Get the players in, do the treble, qualify for champions league, problem solved! :)

30 Jan 2022 20:49:52
Frank apparently signed 2 and half year deal. Also we have just finalise deal with Donny, Ali also wanted by Frank.

_efc_

29 Aug 2021 12:20:25
Does anyone know? Have we actually just loaned Kean to juve for to years with option to buy?
If that's true, what a load of bollocks, we need the money now. And with only option to buy his market value closer to the end of his contract will have all but gone. Jesus Christ, if this is true it's laughable. We need to sell player to raise funds, not loan player who are worth money and still need to buy a back up striker, that makes zero sense.
Hopefully someone can clear this up for me, as if this is true I am incredibly confused to why.

_efc_

{Ed025's Note - we needed him off the books efc, no one was prepared to stump up the money we were looking for so that was the last resort mate, he does not want to be here and he is not in rafas plans so what else can we do?..

1.) 29 Aug 2021 12:47:41
I think the deal is a 2 year loan with an option to buy, which will change to an obligation if certain conditions are met. Deal worth £17 million, but I’d imagine the loan fee will add up to more than what we paid.

2.) 29 Aug 2021 13:07:16
We would have recouped a few from PSG last season too. Even if we break even, it’s better to have a bad apple out. Unfortunately, Richy may be going sour too.

3.) 29 Aug 2021 13:25:34
Listening to Simon Jordan over the last few weeks. He claims you can use proposed transfer incomings to offset future incomings to please ffp. He’s probably used layman’s terms there to simplify his point. But if that’s the case then wouldn’t that release money Everton actually have that couldn’t be used in a three year period set by ffp?

4.) 29 Aug 2021 13:53:54
Well Simon Jordan is talking twoddle.
If the money comes to us in this financial year then it can go on this year's figures. If its a loan with a guaranteed sale then the future fee can be in the clubs financial plans but I wouldn't think it would be any use for P/ S or FFP purposes this financial year. Unless like Liverpool did with the Coutinho money we sell the debt to a third party.
Alternatively it could be 2 seasons with a big loan fee, say 3 million a year and a 17 million sale.
That would free up some money this year.

5.) 29 Aug 2021 20:11:01
Kean is a really good example of how Everton football club has been run hopefully that is something that is coming to an end now that we have an experienced, knowledgable and sensible football man at the helm.
It sounds as though we may break even, or make a small loss, if everything pans out perfectly. Meanwhile Liverpool sell solanke, ibe and Co for 20m. We signed a guy who never wanted to play for us, watched him do well on loan and are now loaning him out for 2 of the last 3 years of his contract! If he does badly we'll get him back for a year. If he does well we should break even. If he does really well and fulfils potential he'll be worth at least 3 times what we're committed to selling him for.

6.) 29 Aug 2021 22:07:30
I heard the conditions for it becoming an obligation is if Juve qualify for the champions league.

7.) 29 Aug 2021 14:12:52
JB…. My understanding was (we be of the Ed’s will confirm) was that we received NO, yes I repeat not a penny! From PSG for last years loan. They merely paid all his wages so he was costing us nothing. If things go like they are we are going to make a loss on the lad plain and simple.
I raised my eyebrows when Roma paid 35mil for TA and could have had MK as a home grown Italian - Maybe Souness words on Sky when we got him weren’t so far from the truth?

{Ed002's Note - It is not really correct and nothing to do with TA.}

10 Jul 2021 01:19:13
Couple of reports linking us to Damsgard from Denmark. Any truth or are we just getting linked to everyone?
He's has a quality euros to be fair to him, absolutely no idea what his form has been for past season or so.
Seems a little light for the premier League. But could be wrong.

_efc_

{Ed002's Note - Mikkel Damsgaard (LW/AM) Spurs asked after a price for the player at the behest of Mr Mourinho who may have taken his interest on to Roma. Sampdoria saying Southampton, Inter, Leicester and Leeds have enquired about the availability of the player who only joined last summer. They have told Milan that they are not open to being given their "off cuts" in exchange and want a huge cash deal - but Milan would need to sell Leao to bring him in - and they also need the money to complete the Tonali deal. Sampdoria are reluctant to sell.}

1.) 10 Jul 2021 20:59:05
Thanks ed! Appreciate your response!

30 Jun 2021 15:43:58
So 3 years of Rafa. I know he's a controversial manager choice. But let's get behind him and give him a chance! He's a quality manager let's hope for a productive next few weeks in the transfer market and get off to a cracking start in the new season!
COYB.

_efc_

1.) 30 Jun 2021 16:07:11
Didn't want him, think its the wrong decision. Hope he proves prove me wrong! UTFT.

2.) 30 Jun 2021 18:05:36
Probably with the majority in not wanting him but we didn't rush the decision and Moshiri hasa dwill continue to fund us, so has the right to pick who he wants. Whatever we think, Moshiri is putting his money on the line and will be certain Raf is the right man. He'll always be the fat Spanish waiter but now he's our fat Spanish waiter. We have to get behind him. I just hope he starts well or it'll get tasty.

3.) 30 Jun 2021 19:51:06
So what if Evertonians protested about the signings of Beardsley and Ablett did anyone? What would it achieve?
He’s in the job if small minded idiots protest, boo or post banners they will upset the players and make things worse for the club! He has a massive job to do more than our last 4-5 managers have!
He gets mine and hopefully true Evertonians votes support because he the Manager of our fantastic club and I want a long awaited success!

4.) 30 Jun 2021 23:27:35
He wasn't my choice but he is my man now. I hope for all our sake he gets off to a good start. Regardless, Everton fans need to have enough respect for the club and respect for themselves to refrain from the hate and threats exhibited by those few. Those actions will not help anything only drag us all down. Nothing but the best.

Do you think. Just a little,
The board have plans to give Dyche 6 months, then get rid. Bring in Bielsa in the summer what ever budget they have, including the money from AG. Is that why the board didn't back Dyche in this window? So Bielsa can build a team in the Summer?
Just a thought.

_efc_

1.) 01 Feb 2023 11:27:08
Would he come to a championship club.

2.) 01 Feb 2023 11:29:17
I'd certainly hope not. I think Dyche is a typical everton style manager. Bielsa is just another fancy dan name to get fans excited, but it end in failure. He's too unpredictable. Go on YouTube and watch video called Sean Dyche 442 masterclass. He sits down explaining every single aspect of the formation and how he sets the team up etc. It's a couple years old I think but listened to it on way home from work this morning. I've faith in this guy 100%. He ain't going to suffer fools put it that way.

3.) 01 Feb 2023 11:34:09
I doubt that very much. Surely this lot aren't that stupid as to risk relegation, and a significant financial loss, in order to get Bielsa in.
Stranger things have happened, but imagine that was the case and it was found out? Talk about risk.

4.) 01 Feb 2023 11:36:41
No, i dont.

1. That would insinuate that the decision makers can plan. Which, as evidence shows, they can't.

2. The risk of going down would be far to great to gamble on.

3. Even if they wanted to keep funds available for Bielsa, we still could have explored the loan market (with ob to buy) . And/ or shifted a body out, to get somebody in on the cheap.

Should your suggestion actually be reality then they should at least have the decency to relay this plan back to the fans to avoid all the theater of "trying" for players and getting knocked back by absolutely everybody, which only furthers the worlds opinion of what a joke of a club we are atm.

5.) 01 Feb 2023 11:47:07
Relay plans to the fans? Decision makers planning ahead? Hilarious.

6.) 01 Feb 2023 13:14:22
Think we should still shift a body out, well a few bodies from the board
I thought the Peter Johnson days were bad but this is just a new all time low for me as a supporter

So down to Dyche to work some miracles, as they say you can only play the hand you are dealt.

7.) 01 Feb 2023 15:41:22
Dyche is Moyes MK2 a good thing.

31 Aug 2021 21:57:48
Hour left. How much realistically is going to happen in the last hour, Rondon our marquee signing. That's even not a certain. Geez this club is in dire straits at the moment. Bloody FFP.
Screw signing players, we need to start signing PSG's accountants and lawyers.

_efc_

{Ed025's Note - good idea mate..

1.) 31 Aug 2021 22:46:06
Are we paying a fee for Rondon?

31 Aug 2021 14:49:45
Does anyone know of people we are in for? I mean Diaz looked like a possibility, but apparently that's hard due to James wage demands going the other way. But then James look to have an agreement with AC which go see him go there. Rondon keeps popping up. Would ideally of liked us to get someone a bit better, but not a bad squad player, and with DCL picking up little knocks we need a striker and atleast he will be cheap. And then the arsenal player Neil's.

_efc_

1.) 31 Aug 2021 15:36:14
Rondon is about the only that could happen. However, I think that is a push as well. I'm quite happy for us to not just go out there and waste money. We should only be spending if they are players we want and are going to enhance the side.

Diaz is another winger which is don't see. us really needing and whether he can adapt to the EPL is questionable, especially with the money being talked about. Niles on loan isn't much of a risk but would rather option to buy rather than obligation.

Patterson I think is way to early to judge on whether he is going to be good enough never mind as even back up but his value as well I would not put above what has already bid.

Most of the names don't inspire me anyway so I'd rather wait till next year. If we are. in Europe as well, that money could be better used then anyway.

11 Aug 2021 00:03:22
Been rumoured RB wants 4 more signings before end of transfer window. WHO? Not long left. Obviously need a right back and right winger and if Moise Kean leaves need a new striker, . And looks like we are still after another CB. but bloody hell that seems a lot to get over the line in the next few weeks. I really hope we don't just jump for someone as we need to fill a position. I really hope MB had a few gems up his sleeve, but even players he's worked with, Dumfries and bailey don't want to work with us. (Bailey obviously gone to villa)
I really hope we can improve our team before end of transfer season,

_efc_

1.) 11 Aug 2021 07:53:27
We still need to sell, before we can buy, by the sounds of things. I would love to see Iwobi and Gomes go. PSG need to sell, would anyone take Gueye back? I for one would do so in a heartbeat.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely swinners..

2.) 11 Aug 2021 08:37:23
I think Rafa will have his targets for some time, busy time coming up COYB.

3.) 11 Aug 2021 06:38:27
Given Messi is at PSG, I don’t see Kean going anywhere soon unless there’s interest from Italy.

I think we need a RB, ST, CB and RW (in that order) before the window closes but would be happy with the first two. The Sig’s thing has thrown a spanner in the works a bit. Maybe a loan or two can help bring in some cover? Surely, there must be some bargain loans from the likes of PSG, Barcelona or other behemoths needing to cut wage bill more than us…

The annoyance for me is the timing. It’ll take a while to bed the players in so the sober business can be done, the better.

4.) 11 Aug 2021 09:00:17
I would have Gueye back, they do seem heavy in midfield so could be a deal to be reached, maybe we should talk them into a loan with option to buy 🤷🏻‍♂️
With options dwindling for Kean I hope he reacts by knuckling down and playing well to get a move. Not sure if Inter would take a look at him with Rom moving on.

5.) 11 Aug 2021 09:10:17
I'm not sure on Gueye, whether he is the same player that left us, is doubtful.

Funny though I was looking through our squad and all signings since Moshiri joined, and came to the conclusion that Gueye was the only one that really stands out for me - really felt like he played for the shirt rather than himself which is something I'm not sure I can say about the rest.

6.) 11 Aug 2021 09:54:36
Gueye was a great player for us but wouldn’t take him back - never really seems to work when players return to former clubs also he’s 31 now and had a couple of injuries, believe he’s currently sidelined through injury.

7.) 11 Aug 2021 17:51:53
Thought Pienaar was still good when he came back, and Dunc and of course Andy King, plus Rhino
Depends if the player has the right attitude and mentality, if they love the club and can still offer something plus if the deal is right for us, then game on!

24 Jan 2020 12:19:29
Worry about this big money spends on older players, I don't like to get into the financial situation of the team. But surely it makes more sense with a new stadium on the cards, we should be looking away from players like Allan from Nopoli (29 years old) and looking at people who will be playing and growing for the next 5 years while our stadium is built and we settle. I would love more of our famous academy to get a look in. Nice to see A. Gordon having minutes.
I just think we need people who will be able to gell as a team for 5 years while we are in the transition period. l to the new stadium.
Our transfer policy over past few years have been so irratic, buying average players for huge amounts.
Look at the likes of wolves, yes they spent money, but they bought well. Neves, tor.

_efc_

1.) 24 Jan 2020 12:36:00
You remind me of someone.

2.) 24 Jan 2020 13:03:15
Good God 29 to old! This is the 21st century not the 19th or 20th (at a pinch) .

3.) 24 Jan 2020 13:55:27
Yep let's continue mid table to regular moments of relegation form.
Would be awful to move into a stadium that doesn't even have all the permissions yet and not be in a European competition.
I say let the buiders, architects and owners worry about the stadium whilst we all try to figure out why winning the u23s league regularly doesn't compute to first team success. Let's hinge it all on that. Or. Sign a few finished articles who can help instantly transform our league position and maybe then we can throw in some of these kids into a successful side instead of throwing them to the wolves and slating them for not progressing. After all who couldn't learn a thing or 2 from Niasse and Co?

4.) 24 Jan 2020 14:01:09
Hope if we get Allan he brings his Zimmer frame.

5.) 24 Jan 2020 14:26:01
I agree 29 these Days is nothing like 29 around the seventies when players diets were a pint, burger and chips and 20 Capstan full strength.

Players look after their intakes on specialist diets, well most players these Days so will still have a good few years left in their tanks.

There again Stanley Mathews played well into his 40,s, so I would not worry too much at players in their late 20,s.

6.) 24 Jan 2020 14:46:49
If the guy turned up and improved our team over the next two seasons, and helped us get into Europe. Then that's good enough for me, regardless of age.

7.) 24 Jan 2020 15:24:30
Everyone scoffed at Vardy for 40 million when he was 29. Well imagine if we had bought him, 3 or 4 years of 20 goals a season.

8.) 24 Jan 2020 13:00:21
Reds fan here in peace.

I understand the clamour for young lads and a young team, but brining in a few quality operators in their prime is, in my opinion, what will help you get higher up the league consistently before you make the move over to the new stadium.

Regardless of ability, sometimes younger players need some quality experience around them. I’m not saying you should go and buy 5/ 6 30 year olds at £30-£40m a time, but having the odd couple adding real quality to a younger squad would be a very good blend in my opinion.

What’s your thoughts ED25?

{Ed025's Note - i think your right smp, its all about balance and as much as i want the young kids to get their chance you do need some experience, but they must be of the right calibre mate and not like the ones we have at the minute who seem to be there justfor the money..

9.) 24 Jan 2020 17:32:30
Allan is very good footballer, he has everything we are currently missing in midfield, he can tackle, he can run at players, he can go past players, he has bags of energy, he’s a defensive midfielder with the ability to go forward so what if he’s 29, I mean 29 isn’t even old!
The price tag is high but you want quality then you pay for it, no sell on value? Who cares! It’s no good just buying youth we need older experienced players aswell, at the moment the table is wide open, quite a few teams are only a few points away from 5th those same teams are also only a few points away from bottom 3, we are one of those teams, Lots of points to be won but it’s going to be tough, Gomes and Gbamin are due back soon but it will take time for them both to get up and running after the injuries, so buying a player who can do all the things they can is a no brainier to me.

10.) 24 Jan 2020 17:58:56
It’s a no brainier for me buy Allen now, 29 is not too old he has everything that we desperately need,
Buy him and sell Iwobi, Walcott and Delph.

{Ed002's Note - Wo to?}

11.) 24 Jan 2020 18:08:32
Exactly who too? I wouldn’t sell iwobi anyway but if a buyer shows up for the other two then, yes please.

12.) 24 Jan 2020 19:54:00
Buying players to be playing in new stadium is not the way we’re 3 years min away from that, we have to think about next 2/ 3 seasons and being competitive, being in Europe every year and maybe try and end our wait for a trophy.

13.) 25 Jan 2020 03:47:15
This ageism argument doesn't really make any sense. We bought Niasse youngish, we bought Tosun youngish. What profit are we going to make when we sell them? We're going to lose millions on both of them. We bought Distin late in his career, same with Barry. We didn't lose a fortune on them when we sold them but we did have 2 brilliant team players.

Surely it is who the manager/ Brands buys and how they add to Everton that is more important than the fee.

Just strengthen the team.

14.) 25 Jan 2020 16:51:00
Ws need to fill this, new stadium so need to be playing good football first before we leave Goodison, as we all know class teams have a balance younger, prime, and veteran players it is the latter 2 we desperately need to manage games and show the younger players how to do things to be a winner.

I think the list of players to keep from this season is a lot shorter than that of to sell.
Only players to keep would be Pickford, digne, Godfrey, possibly Keane, Coleman, Doucoure, Allan, DCL Ricky, and James when he can (mainly for global appeal. ) I would sell the rest to the highest bidder and start new. That's only 10 players so I guess CA will have to get his boots back on. If we can buy well this season I really think we have a shot at Europe next year. But need to bring in 5 quality players to breathe down the neck of the players listed above, because all of them had a poor end to the season. Even DCL couldn't be arsed half the time.

We have a hell of a job on our hands getting rid of them though. The bloody wages the dead weight are on, no one else will pay it.
