{Ed002's Note - He is on the list for Real Madrid - but around 5th place (although the first two choices are certainly not joining RM). We'll see.}

There has been a growing realization that Ancelotti was the wrong choice for Everton. Performances and results have not improved in the way the clubs hierarchy expected. And Ancelotti's demands for more money in the summer have worsened relations.

Ancelotti himself has been far from happy at Everton. He just hasn't enjoyed being at the club, his tactics and training techniques have been resisted by some of the players and Ancelotti hasn't settled in the area.

According to Spanish sports paper/ website La Marca, Ancelotti is now favourite as PSG won't let Pochetino speak to Real Madrid and Antoniio Conte would be too complicated.

They reckon his signing will be announced in the next few hours.

Let's see.

Well I see that now Fabrizio Romano has tweeted this below.

Real Madrid are in talks with Ancelotti in order to appoint him as new manager, confirmed. No agreement signed yet as he's under contract with EFC - but Real are pushing for Ancelotti back. No direct contact with Antonio Conte.

From what I've seen various articles (last week) suggest that Conte was favourite to replace Zidane but maybe not so. This potentially could be bad news for Everton. All of the rumours were just that until today where it certainly seems to have gathered momentum. I'll follow this with interest but my view is simple. We simply cannot afford to keep changing managers, we need stability in order to build for the future.

{Ed002's Note - Approaches were not made directly but through a third party. They first approached Max Allegri and Joachim Loew but neither are available. They have been "warned off" Mauricio Pochettino by PSG although are talking with Spurs. I very much doubt that Antonio Conte would be able to work with Perez. That will take them down to CA on their list.}

Would be disappointed if he went as we need stability not to be continually changing managers.

However if he does go and he takes sigurdsson, iwobi, Delph, Bernard and Gomes with him, that’ll soften the blow.

Loads of other names have been bandied around since Zidane went. Ancelotti current favourtie but in the last few days so have Conti, Pochettino and Raul so maybe tomorrow there'll be aother favourite, I hope so.

{Ed002's Note - Raul Gonzalez is the fans' choice and comes after Ancelotti on their list - he may get a chance to prove himself at Eintract Frankfurt whilst Real Madrid take a safer route for now.}

CA has shown integrity throughout his tenure so in my opinion it would be totally out of character if he left for Madrid without the blessing of the club, which seems unlikely. The problem is it makes a good story and in this day and age anything could happen allegedly.

Edd002 you said that CA is 5th choice and the fans favourite was Raul would you expect CA to get the boot after a season if Real didn't win anything and if Raul got the Frankfurt job and did well?

{Ed002's Note - No.}
