I am somewhat confused by the talk of Ross Barkley going to the Mancs. When Ross played for Moysey didn't he keep him on the bench and surpress his skills. Why then would he want to buy him now. It would be a real waste to even comtemplate selling him now. He is a real diamond exactly what RM has said about him. Moysey has some balls sniffing around his old players, if he liked them so much why did he leave?. In RM we trust.

On the transfer front, Ed is there any interest do you in Shane Long

royclark

{Ed025's Note - its all paper talk roy...they put 2+2 together, and come up with 87, just lazy journalism mate, nothing on long at this time..

1.) Agree with last posting. Shane Long would be an ideal purchase alongside Lukaku or even up front by himself, excellent work rate, good in front of goal, right age, experienced in the EPL

2.) I guess that is one way of looking at it, Royclark. The other way is that Moyes brought him through the youth set up then blooded him into the first team gradually so as not to burn him out. As per Michael Owen who was blooded too much and too young and then never got over hamstring injuries. I know this post will wind a few up, but Moyes seems to be being blamed for everything from global warming to the Russians arresting the Greenpeace campainers. I am sure Moyes had more brains than to try and surpress Barkley's skills and stop a great young player coming through into the Everton team.

As a Toffee for over 60 years, I am at a loss to see why we are in such a position that we find ourselves in. So many managers, so many players and nothing is working. Are we going down? Like all Evertonians our fear is that we will. I agree with most posts, Kenny, Keane, Holgate and Iwobi to name three are sub standard.
Surely playing Dobbin has to be worth a go, keep Branthwaite in and let them show the so called experienced ones how it is done.

To come back to my first point, the problem has to be the so many change of managers who have sanctioned poor players each one. Is Moshiri really to blame, yes he has given the cash but he did not buy the players. He obviously doesn't listen as Bill K knows the club and would have advised on signings and general running of the club but is he listened to, after he was keen on big Dunc who is just a background coach whilst all these experienced Chelsea coaches are running the tactics, oh dear I am so depressed. COYB please.

Just a thought ED, do the rules allow Athletico Madrid to buy him then loan him out immediately. I also wonder if RK is smiling because it is nothing to do with Costa, that is a smoke screen but he has someone lined up.

royclark

{Ed001's Note - I think if he signs for them he can't be registered so unable to go out on loan. That is what happened when Barca had a transfer ban and signed Arda Turan, he spent 6 months watching footie.}

Everton don't do smoke screens. We never have and probably never will.

2.) 26 Aug 2017 12:20:02
not a bad life is it sign a massive contract and have 6 months off watching Barcelona every week.

{Ed001's Note - I would have preferred to play personally. Playing is such a short career, I fail to understand why any player would be happy sat on the sidelines. Any that is has to have a massive question mark over their attitude and desire.}

3.) 26 Aug 2017 15:18:44
I agree Ed I would much prefer to be playing, and given the choice I'd love to play for the team I support! Which is why I don't understand why Barkley isn't chomping at the bit to be part of what is happening at Everton. 🤷🏻‍♂️.

4.) 26 Aug 2017 15:47:47
He is listerning to very poor advice, plus he cannot stand being told off by the manager, if you think he's wrong, grow a set, and go out and prove him wrong.

I would like to know if Bill is going to be true to his word. When RM joined Bill said that we will not be selling any of our players except one who has a buy out clause. Bill show us you mean it and keep Bainsy - Roy

royclark

1.) Totally agree Roy. that statement needs to be followed now by an official statement. do one moyes. bill in future no more love ins about u and moyes starting to feel uncomfortable every time u open your mouth. jib it now. roberto is the man
