you might all think i've lost it but I am going to throw it out there that if we beat city in the cup, get stoke in the final and beat them and all will be forgotten and we push on in prem and fa cup. that's the only reason I can see why we are all going through this nightmare rollercoaster of a ride (plus Martinez) .

we have all been through a nightmare for the past 30 years apart from 1995 but even that season had its faults. the point i've made at the top is me being positive. the players must be at an all time low now. its Martinez's job to lift and motivate them but I truly believe he can't do it. he will quit if forced and I can see this happening if we lose to city.

{Ed025's Note - i dont see him quitting muff, but he may be pushed if we lose to city and our league form does not improve mate..

Why did we give him a new contract? He will not quit as he will want a massive payoff.

2.) 29 Dec 2015 16:50:18
No chance he'll quit. Where people get the idea that he will quit baffles' me. He is ignorant to his style of management. Even after what happened to Wigan he still uses the same style and tactics at Everton.

If Bill stays as chairman until the end of the season I think Martinez will be here till then also. I think the only way Martinez will get sacked is if we get relegated.

Even with the way things are going I don't think we'll get relegated this season. If Martinez is still here come next season I think there's a good chance we'll go down then.

I hope I'm wrong but if Bill is still here and we finish 14th, 15th or even 16th I think he still won't sack Martinez.

Then we're really in for it come next season.

Not a hope he will resign nor will the board sack him as they have a middle of the road mentality. Happy to b mid table sell any decent player we develop and not really invest in squad overall as our net spend over the last number of years has been zilch. We are 4 or 5 good squad players from a top 4 team but the lack of investment will ensure we always struggle and punch above our weight 😡.

I don't think it's all doom and gloom. I think we are only a keeper away from being a good team. Why Joel hasn't been given a chance is beyond belief.

5.) 30 Dec 2015 09:55:06
I don't know where all this doom and gloom is coming from. 6 weeks ago everyone was buzzing after massive results against Sunderland and villa and now due to a few defensive frailties it's all of a sudden panic stations. Top 6 is only 5 points away, top 4 isn't that far away especially this season with the league being so unpredictable. Once jags is back there will be a big change in the results he's been the big miss since his injury. Instead of all the misery, let's do our job and support the players. You can hear a pin drop at goodison at the moment and that doesn't help the players. It's about time we did our part to make goodison a fortress again.

for far to long now the great fans of this great club have negativity towards players and staff am one that stands guilty of that but I genuinely believe that if we can all start believing in this great young team then I think that will transpire down on to the pitch yes we need a new keeper and centre forward but that's not going to happen until the summer let's all start been positive and see were it takes us I have no doubt its going to be a great ride let's all enjoy it wile they are here no matter how you look at it the future it bright for everton fc.

Agreed muff. Said something similar below. I feel we on the cusp of something great. With a little bit of luck and some wise decisions from management, we will win things.

2.) 14 Dec 2015 13:00:58
And despite my posts appearing negative I am in agreement with the two above. Roberto though to me just appears to be giving lip service. He says in his latest missive that we need to be more ruthless, my point on that was, that, that is down to not only the players but the Staff and Roberto as the Leader have to shoulder a great deal of responsibility.

3.) 14 Dec 2015 13:15:05
Well said to both.

why dose nobody ever comment on the backroom staff on here, I know bobby is in charge but jones his number 2 when at Newcastle was not the best Newcastle leaked goals so badly I think that has a lot to do with it your number 2 has a lot of input into the team I think its him who should go simple.

As a Manager you take full responsibility in any job. You take home the big bucks so the big decisions lie with you. If Bobby's problem is his staff then it is his responsibility to replace them with people good enough for the role.

2.) 14 Dec 2015 13:16:34
I have consistently mentioned the back room Staff but also a good Manager/Leader is one that can not only listen but have the trust to delegate and if not working the courage to get rid. Our attack side is excellent, our defence is not and has not (last season and this) . If a simple minded fool like me can see it!

3.) 14 Dec 2015 19:19:03
Think big nev should come in a goalkeeping coach. Imagine the rollacking if you made a bad judgment. think it would only happen once.
