Is there any update on the Perisic situation? Have we actually spoken to him?

Fantastic response ED025 to that who won't be named. Reading his post made me madder and madder as I went through it and props to you for putting that thing in his place. Bravo!

1.) I agree with you AngeloEFC. Ed thank you very much for sticking up for our little humble club. Firstly I read an article here in oz about how fickle the Man U supporters are. A bar somewhere in the US was losing money because United were losing and the (die hards fans) dropped off quicker than a vindaloo curry the next morning. Secondly all the die hards in Asia were hopping off united and going to city and chelsea. Thirdly when you follow Everton there is no in between. You are either Everton or your not. The question I ask you lot. Is there any chance that Man United who are millions of dollars in debt and just spent a stack more and are now probably in billions of dollars in debt, could they fall on there sword and end up like Leeds United. Because then A team like Man City could probably take there ground (Old Trafford)from them and send United to a 30000 seat stadium which they wouldn't fill up (only if the away supporters came and filled the gaps) because all the die-hards would swap to Man City.

So get stuffed

{Ed025's Note - if only carlsberg did dreams mate.. :)

2.) We have fans around the world aswell as the last 2 games I've had a norwiegian behind m who bin everton and liverpool and said he perfered everton as we are nicer people and better atmosphere and Japanese person and what did the feller say utd fan

Hey Ed can you tell us the likelyhood of signing;

Banega
Cerci
Tello
Mbia
Rafa Silva

AngeloEFC

{Ed003's Note - No.}

1.) Nice, ed.

Ed002, can you give us a list of players you know the club are interested in signing?

AngeloEFC

{Ed002's Note - I did, but it led to abuse, so that is the end of that.}

Roberto Martinez and all the players at Everton are too professional, there is no way in hell we threw that game. I think it's testament to how well we have transformed under Martinez that I was completely satisfied despite losing; not because it limits Liverpool's chance, but because I know the club is moving forward. The only disappointment was the lack of singing. For people who went and didn't watch the game on TV, Gary Neville was mocking how quiet we were! We are the best fans in the world supporting the best club, we should be singing our hearts out no matter the score and getting behind the boys.

I am fine with people saying they would take Cleverly next season, I am. Personally I wouldn't have him on a free transfer, but I wish people would stop saying he would be a good partner for McCarthy. Has everyone forgotten about Gibson? Gibson has never put a foot wrong and his return from injury will be a breath of fresh air.

With the likely permanent signing of Barry, the return of Gibson and the scintillating form of McCarthy, I feel that any signing of a midfielder must be a quality player, one that we could depend on from the get go without trying to develop a player who has been getting worse. Gibson and McCarthy would, I feel, be a fantastic pairing and with Barry as well, who needs Cleverly?

AngeloEFC

{Ed025's Note - fair point angelo..

1.) As good as Gibson is, what's the chance of him playing a full season? And Barry hasn't signed yet. Is like to think that he'd sign for us purely on football terms, and not just for money, but I'm afraid that money talks, and others will offer him more. I hope I'm wrong (again).

{Ed025's Note - the good thing is though lee, if we have the three, the rotation would really work!..

2.) To injury prone. Sadly

3.) 25 Apr 2014 19:23:18
Agreed. He's been touted as osmans replacement who would be part of the attacking 3 mids rather than compete with gb, jmc and gibbo for the defensive/ ball playing mid role. I would still like to see out and out wingers signed we have pienaar but he is aging, mirallas has blown hot and cold this season, get stepovers back on loan, mcgeady will come into his own next year, ossie and pienar are the players we need to replace so a wide left sided winger and a central versitile passing/ attacking mid would be my choice. Konoplyanka would be my ideal choice for left sided, and somebody of lallana's/ michu's mould would fit in the central role (obviously both of these choices would be expensive, but if bobby can work his magic finding a similar player unearthed from the spanish league I would be more than happy). Only one player comes to mind I would want to sign to play the defensive role and that would be schneiderlin. Class player who could play along side any of jmc, gb and gibbo. Youth team could be loaned out to gain experience next year, or adopt wengers approach of playing the youth team in the carling cup for a more competitive experience. My choice for signings in summer irrespective of whether we get 4th or 5th in summary would be:-
Striker. Lukaku or bony
acm hidden gem from spain in lallana/ michu/ silva mould
lam konoplyanka
dm schneiderlin & gaz barry (with gibbo and gb's potential injury proneness and potential suspensions dje to yellow or red cards I feel we need 4 players to cover these 2 positions) also would offer squad rotation to cope with many games in league, cup and europe
we should back roberto this year to keep the pressure on top 4 and hope a cup run would benefit the kids.

I think that yes Barry was quality the season just gone but without him we have Gibson to come back into the side and play alongside McCarthy and if we can bring in another player for the rotation along with the youngsters we'll be fine.

Momo Diame would be a great shout IMO and would be cheap. I'd like to retain Barry but if not there are benefits (ie. Age not being on his side and wage bill).

I think as long as Milner plays Centre Midfield and not wide right like he does for England he could prove to be a good acquisition.

All sounds quite good to me too. Certainly interested but I do think charity would be the best shout.

I've seen Duffy play a few times for Yeovil this season and every time he was quality, best player on the pitch by a country mile!

I'm not sure he's the future of our club, but until he's given a shot then we can't judge.

Oh great! Sims is a friend of mine, went to school with him but I couldn't watch the match. Great to hear that he's doing well! Not Everton related but thanks fellas!

Got a friend who is a Yeovil season ticket holder swears Duffy has been the best player by far Premier League quality and not put a foot wrong.
