Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

I would love to know if Martinez really does think that our squad doesn't need any additions or if the board just don't trust him with the money either way it really does make you sit up and realise we are in a horribly bad situation here aren't we! It's been a while since I was this down about everton sorry for the negative vibes people

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - its hard not to be negative kingy..

The only thing imho that will get all of us out of feeling so depressed about Everton's situation this season will be wins in the Premier League that earn us the points to get clear of the relegation scrap. All else - transfers, tactics, finances, etc., etc. - doesn't really compare to the enormity of us no longer being a Premier League club.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know what your saying Sid but the only way I can see us winning games between now and may is if we either change our tactics drastically or we bring new faces in and atm I can't see either happening can you?

So what's happening? Et'o gone and Bobby says he isn't going to sign a replacement! Why not! Clearly we're not good enough in the league at the moment. We're out of the fa cup. Only really got Europa to play for (that we can win that is). Sounds like we're calling this season a write off to me! Come on! We need something from somewhere. Can't remember the last time things were this stale.

Winston Wolf would struggle to fix our problems at the moment.

{Ed025's Note - i will try and get him to fix things for us gene...i have a direct line..

He's ALL OF A SUDDEN. Decided that McAleny if a Bright Young Professional.

This tells me that he's already found an Eto'o replacement. RM's hot and cold I tell you. McAleny hasn't had a look in this season, and only played 45 mins against Krasnodar, when we had already topped the group in Europa, but now he's our "saviour".

I reckon he (RM) is going to look at the league now and just play it as safe as he can. Not going to invest to push us further, as he probably feels that we can stay up with the squad available, and so will not make the adjustments needed for us to increase our league position as extensively as we would all like (top 7 for me).

I just cannot believe that this will be allowed. Our main income is from Broadcasting rights. which have increased more in the last 4 years due to our high finishing positions in the league, but if we finish lower than expected this season, I reckon we'll lose a lot of that income, as SKY/BT won't want to broadcast us anymore, and it will ruin us in the long term.

Its make or break for Bobby. I love the guy a lot, as he is a real gentleman, and I really want him to be the guy to take us forward, but if we lose to Palace, then I will be changing how I feel.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im afraid i have the feeling that you will be changing how you feel QB, palace are on a roll, and we look awful mate...lets hope im wrong.. :)

Deeply hope he proves doubters wrong ED , and that this 1st half of the season was a blip. I remember Moyes had a good 3-4 seasons where we were calling for his head in the 1st half of the season , and then singing his praises in the second half, all because he went a on a winning streak that took us much higher in the table during the back end.

Just hope its tha case here.

For what it's worth, my understanding is that McAleny was out with a collarbone injury from pre-season until the Krasnodar match, so wasn't available for a while. Let's see if he gets any game time now that RM has bigged him up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bluenosewill, Stale? Stale? Things are far from stale, things are completely rotten. Top 7? Are you having a laugh? I would be delighted with 4th from bottom now. I simply can not see where we will next win a game. Things are not stale mate they are extremely exciting but in a very negative sense

Funny how Atsu's having a decent African nations tournament yet he hasn't had much of a look in this season and we are crying out for a wide man!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i want a DNA test on mcgeady...maybe hes of african origin?.. :)

28 Jan 2015 17:18:45
pato. good or bad move?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i would say good Amo..

28 Jan 2015 19:03:08
Bad

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - how did i know that was coming?.... :)

Apparently on big money, Corinthians want to sell has not been good in Brazil, if we were to take a punt I think loan first with option to buy.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - loans are right up our street wakka...we should be sponsored by wonga mate.. :)

Very apt Ed025 unfortunately the big boys will spend big to keep moving forward, sustaining Champ League status and earning big! Lukaku aside we are afraid to spend 15m plus and aren't even trading water we are slowly sinking and there seems to be nothing but hot air and BS coming out of the club!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - same old story then wakka..

What is making this transfer window so frustrating for me is that we finally made the top 20 of the world's richest clubs & we seem to be scratting around in the transfer market's equivalent of Poundland!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - your right tezza..

Your spot on with your comments. Nothing changes with Everton! It's frustrating . I just hope we get someone in this window!!

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to pay in pound land.

Quote from RM

Martinez said: "January is not the place to find solutions (in the transfer market). Our moment of form, we want to change, but the solutions are in the squad

So maybe we should not expect any incomings this window, which could also mean a lack of support for the manager from the board?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it could mean that he is so stubborn that he thinks he can fix it himself wakka...and we all know not to trust anyone who has "fix it" after his name..

We only have 5 more days of no news to suffer and the window will be closed. Then its business as usual. Very disappointing considering our current predicament.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's a good 1 that eds haha

Every team suffers at times from injures, poor form, bad refereeing decisons, loss of confidence and downright bad luck - but professional football is a results business and it's surely down to the manger to prepare the team physically, mentally, technically and tactically AND its down to the players to work hard, apply themselves, play to the best of their ability and deliver results. This season, it's self-evident that neither has been the case at Everton. BK had better be praying that the Qatar break has given RM and the players the opportunity to retrench and get back to performing consistently well & winning regularly. We'll see as the next few fixtures pan out. Otherwise, it'll be on BK's watch that sixty seasons of top-tier football comes to an end.

I see so many similarities to 94 and Mike walker, what is needed now is for Mr Nice Guy, to stop the BS about positive, energetic, phenomenal performances and do what big joe did take the side back to basics and learn to graft, tackle and compete for everything, I think this is what fans see in Besic and why he is respected, it's time to turn the tide and preserve are future in the top flight of English football!

Have great respect for any person coming to the UK and learning the language but RM's use of 'phenomenal' is doing my nut in!
He might mean 'brilliant' but for many of us.

P lease stop using that word

{Ed025's Note - good stuff mushy..

Hi Mushy - you missed the 'O' for Over Optimistic and Over passing and Only playing the ball across the back four in order to keep meaningless possession - and finally "Oh no - one of their players is approaching me - better pass it backwards to the defence or even Howard in goal straight away"

Oh FFS!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol that's actually very funny. And worryingly very true

28 Jan 2015 13:30:11
Mushy: Couldn't agree more! RM's English is way better than my Spanish, but to describe anything at Everton this season as "phenomenal" must mean that RM is, at best, losing something in the translation, or, at worst, totally losing the plot as to what the fans expect from their club.
:-(

Agree0 Disagree0

Think Martinez been watching Paul Merson on Saturdays from 12.00 noon on ssn with Jeff Stelling and co. Paul uses phenomenal in just about every sentence.

Pato is another Bojan; Incredibly talented but clearly lost his way. Well Roberto, up to you to take a punt and work on him like Hughes has done with Bojan.
A crying shame Bojan's injury just when his football talents started to shine again. Gutted for him.

It is a shame that with Bojan mate, it's usually us who suffer like that

Barkley last season playing awesome then injured
Oviedo the same
Mirallas the same
McGeady just crap all the time, wish he would get injured

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't wish an injury on any player tbh murf, but it did make me chuckle mate.
