I would love it if we snagged Mandanda. I believe he is a free agent and valued at €10 mil. free vs £20-£40 mil for the Hart, Forster or Begovic options that have been rumoured. For a good salary, Mandanda would come to the best league in the world.

If the plan is to go for only the Dutch players that teams are willing to sell, then everton will miss out on improving. Why not sell Lukaku and replace him with a Sanabria, Dybala, Costa or some other less costly stud. Witsel for $30 mil. There are way better non-dutch players for cheaper than that.

Sorry. I know Witsel is Belgian. I do see how my post made it sound that I thought he was dutch. My apologies. I just hope they don't focus all funds on ex-koeman players or dutch players. or barely proven players. Replacing Lukaku ($65 mil World Class player) with a $40-50 mil striker, is the best option.

The best option is keep Lukaku and get his mind soley focussed on scoring goals for and helping Everton. The next best option is to sell Lukaku for as much money as we can get and replace him by spending as little money as possible. Our own youth structure is best. Failing that we should scour lower divisions in order to see if there is other youth developing in the same manner as John Stones. Failing those alternatives, then we should be looking to spend. But not for spending sake!
