Hyperthetical question. If we sold Pickford to Chelsea and gol RLC and Batshuayi plus cash. Then went out and bought Butland.
Do any of you think that would be an improvement?

Woburn that's kind of my feelings as well I'd certainly only entertain the idea if rlc and batshuyi were part of it I was even considering in my mind and even before I type it I know the stick it will get but hart is also available it's just balancing up which gives us the best chance of progression as a team yes pickford is better than any alternative we can get as gk but I can't help but feel with the state of the squad is he someone we can sacrifice to actually result in the overall first team being stronger it kind of reminds me when Rooney left for man Utd we had a poor season with him he was the star player he left but the team did better the season after.

I'd have those 3 in a second for Pickford.

It wouldn't ever work out like that though.
I don't think Pickford will go but Chelsea are a massive pull and he has to feel some interest? A club who regularly win the league and contest the champions league? London too?
I hope they go elsewhere but they are more than capable of taking him from us.

Chelsea would value both highly. But, on paper, Butland, RLC and Batshuayi would improve the squad instead of just having Pickford. Can only see it going through if the player makes a fuss and asks to leave.

Agree with toffeeace. Batshuayi hasn't shown anymore in the prem than Tosun has.
I'd have RLC but on loan or buy outright.
If Silva is going to play out from the back then Hart or Butland won't improve us at all.

Not going to happen and don’t underestimate lucky we are to have a top goalkeeper any deal for pickford would need to be 100m to even get us to the table.
But Loftus-Cheek is a signing I want, he can become a world class midfielder, just what we need.

The midfield and forward options would be slightly stronger but the Keeper would be much worse, and unless Butland has a release clause Stoke would have our pants down over the fee as they would know with the windows fast approaching we would be quite desperate.

Pickford simply shouldn't be sold. It took us many years to find a dependable GK and he has the potential to get even better. Butland is good but not as good as what we've already got.

No it wouldnt. Not in any sense. If we sold Pickford, we would be weaker. don't understand why people can't grasp that.
