Just wanted to get away from transfers and on field talk, its coming to the end of the season which can only mean 1 thing new kits.
I know the club have been consulting fans and sent a questionnaire with 26 questions about the new kit, but was wondering what thoughts we had on here and any suggestions about away and third as we will be playing in Europe next season.

Just a quick one for everyone. . Do you think we would be higher or lower in the league if Howard would have been in goal for the whole season. as I think our GK position has been our biggest problem.

Imho we would most definitely be lower.

Plenty of respect for Howard and thankful for his loyal service to our club. He was played a little too long as it was never mind still having him this season.

I agree with NBTB though its hard saying it as he was a great servant to the club we desperately need a formidable number 1 in goal so many names being mentioned will support whoever RK and Walsh choose though.

Hard one that. Depends which Howard. I agree the last 2 seasons he detriorated. Before that though he was immense. When at the top of his game he was one of the best.

Well degsypulford2, which Howard? No one can turn back time so obviously it would be the deteriorating Howard that would still be here.

Both Stek and Robles have been either terrific or very bad. Not much in between. Howard however would be consistently bad if his last 2 seasons are anything to go by.

NBTB I think it's pretty obvious that Skylark was talking of Howard of the past and not present. lol My point was that which stage of his career? Which part of the past? I don't suppose the Howard of now would be able to last 90 minutes. even in goal. But he did have a period whereby he was amazing. but like most Blues, thought he was kept on too long and really went past his sell by date.

Maybe degsypulford2. The way I picked it up was seeing as our goalkeeping situation is not resolved would we have been better keeping Howard.

Talking about past performances is different. In that case you can about any keeper we had.

Just shows how things are open to interpratation on here. Based on Howard now, we could try Joe Royle at centre forward and Peter Reid in midfield! Graeme Sharpe was always worth a good performance too. But I guess we would struggle to play Koeman's pressing game!

How could you not mention speedy Sheedy. Sweet left foot. Lovely looking at lefties. Hinchcliffe's corners were a joy to watch.

If we finish 7th would we still qualify for a European slot under the following scenarios.

1) Man Utd Winning the Europa cup and finishing in 4th place in the prem.

2) Man Utd Winning the Europa cup and finishing in either 5th or 6th place in the prem.

Yes to both.

The only thing that could prevent us from playing in Europe is if we finish lower than 7 th. which after this weekend will possibly be the lowest as WBA will not be able to catch us if they fail to get 3 points.
