Sky reporting we are considering Soumaoro from Lille would definitely take this lad can play anywhere along the back think he could fit in at left back, injury at the start of the season but has played a few games since, probably not the name on most people's lips when we ask about left backs but I think worth a shot.

1.) 11 Jan 2018 14:19:07
Isn't he naturally a cb? Iv only ever seen him once and was cb at least. Even if that is the case then I guess it doesn't mean he can't play lb. However if he is a cb who is ok playing lb then I would prefer an actual lb. Not sure any of that makes sense haha.

2.) 11 Jan 2018 14:44:27
It makes sense cropper I know what you mean, I know who I would ideally like at left back the lad from Celtic could we get him I'd hope so are we looking at him I'd hope so too, but i think SW and Sam are on the same page they got us Tosun so think they will make the right decision.

3.) 11 Jan 2018 14:59:20
Ed said a bit ago that Sam had interest in him from his time as Sunderland manager.

4.) 11 Jan 2018 16:35:48
Isn’t he mainly right footed though? Not that I am a football manager or anything but I would like a left pegged left back who can get up and down the line and put in a decent cross, like what Baines would do during his prime years before the injuries seemed to affect him.

08 Jan 2018 11:19:42
Speculation that us and Leicester are looking at Rafa Silva on loan till the end of the season then £26mill to make it permanent, with Burnley looking at Lennon and Kev gone do any of the eds know if this is a possibility?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of anything related to Everton and Rafa Silva and £26M seems a lot for a player whose stock is falling right now - he is having a bit of a torrid time.}

1.) 08 Jan 2018 12:04:14
Agree with Ed on that.

When he was at Braga he looked like he was going to turn into something special. He hasn't really lived up to that early promise.

Got a move to Benfica and after having watched him for them and Portugal in the Euros, doesn't look like a player who would cut it in the Prem to me. Plenty of better wide options out there imo.

2.) 08 Jan 2018 12:21:01
Thank you Ed002 and JW1878 much appreciated.

3.) 08 Jan 2018 20:33:04
No worries mate.

4.) 09 Jan 2018 22:59:37
If palace are interested in niasse. How about swapping player and cash for wilf zaha. That wide attack with bolasie on the opposite wing i believe would bring out the best of tousan.

06 Jan 2018 22:50:01
Loving Jan transfer window! Rumours in tomorrow's papers Crystal palace looking at Niasse and we are looking at Mawson from Swansea and Dacoure from Watford the latter being a back up if we fail to get Nzonzi.

1.) 06 Jan 2018 23:37:57
I really rate mawson. Think jags is doing a good job at the minute but obviously he can't do it too much longer.

2.) 07 Jan 2018 01:44:06
I like Mawson as well no nonsense imposing centre back.

3.) 07 Jan 2018 08:17:38
Another Barnsley lad as well we have done well wigh them in past.

4.) 07 Jan 2018 09:47:54
Mawson good young centreback also offers threat at set pieces would be a decent signing but can't see watford selling us there midfielder they only just signed. I see that mirror saying we after another striker and say we keeping tabs on dembele of Celtic and sakho from West ham hope the later is just paper talk but wouldn't mind dembele the lad looks a talent.

5.) 07 Jan 2018 10:13:09
I remember reports last summer of Dembele wanting promises of being 1st choice, possibly because of the world cup coming up. Can't see his stance changing so wouldn't have thought he's move till the summer.

6.) 07 Jan 2018 12:49:49
Smith mate he isn't first choice at Celtic at the minute don't know if that because he had a few injury issues this season but if we going to look at another forward then he might be worth a look at it not as if we are blessed with lots of quality striking options so he would get plenty of games.

7.) 07 Jan 2018 14:31:15
Be nice if we got him. Do we want another over priced striker in january on his it better to wait till the summer.

8.) 07 Jan 2018 14:49:18
duke75, he's been out for months with a knee injury, just playing his way back to fitness. I'd take him in a heartbeaat.

9.) 07 Jan 2018 15:33:24
I know it i difficult to get players from Clubs doing well but why do we seem to be linked with players at Clubs doing badly. Surely we should be trying our darnest to get players with a proven will to win.

03 Jan 2018 22:08:57
Quick question ed002 and sorry if it's been asked before rumoured we are looking at Seri from Nice any truth in this and do you think we could realistically get him thankyou in advance.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach by Everton.}

1.) 03 Jan 2018 23:24:20
Would like to know what you think of signing Wilshire if he won’t sign for the gunners .

2.) 03 Jan 2018 22:53:41
Thankyou ed just saw a report saying we were looking at him looks a decent player, so many reports of players linked, have a good January eds hope we don't bombard you too much with questions.

{Ed002's Note - There is pleanty of decl;ared interest in him from elsewhere with othe rclubs already talking to Nice.}

09 Dec 2017 11:52:05
Any of the eds heard that we have enquired several times about Alcacer from Barcelona don't know much about him just know he hasn't had much game time would he be a option in January?

{Ed002's Note - Paco Alcacer has been trying to force a move out of Barcelona and they will accommodate that once they have a replacement - the summer would be more likely and although Southampton are interested, he will have potentially more attractive options elsewhere. He is on the lengthy list of players Barcelona will be happy to move on. I am not aware of Everton enquiring "several times" about the plauer.}

1.) 09 Dec 2017 14:39:07
Thankyou ed002.

Good write up on the sky sports website about our season and apparently a segment on soccer Saturday definitely worth a watch, looking forward to the weekend and our game though that wait before the team selection is always a killer will we have disappointment or see the team and think yes we can win this.

1.) 19 Jan 2018 08:54:16
Of course we can mate.

09 Jan 2018 18:37:36
Just got the Everton blog on with the General meeting Elstone on the stage talking finance and of course the new stadium.
"We hope, in a year, to secure funding and planning, and to conclude designs, and then we are looking at 3 years to build on what is a complex site. If all goes to plan, we hope to be kicking off at Bramley Moore dock in August 2022. Committed Yes, Optimistic Yes but the enduring message is there's lots to do"

1.) 09 Jan 2018 19:36:47
Sounds promising Lee1878. Reckon I can shave 12 months of that by giving them the number of the builder who built our local McDonald's. It was up and running in a week. Lol.

2.) 09 Jan 2018 19:49:51
I know smit666 they are all come flat packed don't they up in a week now KFC, McDonalds it's going to be a long wait till 2022.

3.) 09 Jan 2018 20:17:21
I can do a bit of Scroll sawing.

Got to get your name in early guys.

4.) 09 Jan 2018 20:39:41
Every little helps Grumpy.

5.) 09 Jan 2018 20:51:20
I will do the beer testing, obviously just to help. Hic.

{Ed025's Note - good man..

6.) 09 Jan 2018 21:11:30
I've got a snorkel and flippers for the ground workers.

{Ed025's Note - and im full of hot air smit, we could team up mate.. :)

7.) 09 Jan 2018 21:44:39
This is by far my favourite post this year.

8.) 09 Jan 2018 21:45:53
I could tell you all a story involving myself, the Mrs, the local vicar, Mrs Pendaghast from number 41, some sheep, a snorkel and some flippers, but it's far too rude for these forums.

{Ed025's Note - 40 shades of grumpy.. :)

9.) 09 Jan 2018 22:04:17
Ed25 will censor it for you Grumpy.

{Ed025's Note - going by the cast members there might only be 2 words i will be able to use smit.. :)

10.) 09 Jan 2018 22:17:45
Ed025 Now that made me laugh Sir.

11.) 09 Jan 2018 22:49:39
Not saying it was wild, but our 3 legged Pekingese dog ran away howling and rubbing it's eyes.

Never did see her again. Sad days indeed.

12.) 10 Jan 2018 13:23:00
Am i the only one who is intrigued by the dogs 4th leg and what happened to it.

{Ed025's Note - im sure the dog is as well smit..

13.) 10 Jan 2018 14:01:00
I think Grumpy has some questions to answer here. We need more info.

14.) 10 Jan 2018 16:02:16
Smit mate if I gave a full explanation on these forums I would end up with a life time ban, suffice to say the vicars wife has stopped twitching whenever Rovers name is mentioned.

08 Jan 2018 18:08:35
Reports still linking us with strikers this time Andre Silva, with Tosun in I can't see us going for another one unless Niasse and/ or Sandro go, like all Blues think we desperately need a lb hope we are looking.
On another note so looking forward to seeing Tosun think he will be the real deal for us just need to give him the service and in Sig and Rooney we have it, though Sig in the 10 roll.

1.) 08 Jan 2018 21:27:22
Lee we have to start playing Sid in central mid, he’s bloody wasted on the wing mate.

2.) 08 Jan 2018 21:30:41
That's what I was saying Woburn Tosun upfront with Sig behind him and have Bolasie and lookman on the wings though I think Sam will use Lookman from the bench.

3.) 08 Jan 2018 22:43:54
Its hard to know what the story is behind closed doors. I'd have Lookman in my starting 11 too. I think most would.

But I have a feeling Sam knows something like the rest of us don't or could know. Like possibly and I'm only speculating, Lookman is a done deal to leave in the summer if not now.

All the talk is he's homesick. Whatever it is imho there is some reason Sam is not picking him. I'm obviously just thinking out loud. Hopefully the lad stays with us for many years as he is undoubtedly talented.

07 Jan 2018 22:46:00
Just watched the Notts Forest highlights Dowell did really well and a great team performance hope he gets some playing time next season looks a talented youngster be good to see him I'm a blur shirt.

1.) 07 Jan 2018 23:00:16
*Blue shirt*.

2.) 07 Jan 2018 23:31:25
Yes he did play well, they had the whole game on here in Florida. Made a goal and scored a penalty although some controversy that he made contact with the ball with his right foot (a slip) before scoring with his left.

3.) 08 Jan 2018 00:21:42
Yep he is doing good. Thought he did very well pre season for us. Got some good goals. Was suprised he was loaned out tbf. At least he is playing constantly as is connolly at Ipswich.

4.) 08 Jan 2018 11:46:36
I'd prefer him in blurr shirt. More speed in midfield is always welcome.

5.) 08 Jan 2018 18:33:48
Hope we will see him at Goodison "Park Life" soon!

05 Jan 2018 22:09:57
Can't fault the lads for the way they gave it a go tonight few little things:-
Lookman needs more playing time caused problems and gave us pace.
Schneiderlin needs dripping hopefully Nzonzi to replace him
And Sig needs to be the number 10 sitting in the centre think him and Tosun will be good together.
Let's focus now on the next game see what team Sam picks can't wait to see Tosun and hopefully abit of fight from the lads.

Didn't see that one coming Howie and our supporters moan about our transfer dealings, I wonder what Chelsea supporters are thinking about this, I'm happy with Cenk and Theo just get that elusive LB in and we will all be happy.

I hate to use this analogy but it's like Barkley a fresh start, that's what Walcott needs Barkley has his and good luck to him get Walcott in and watch him hopefully after a few games enjoy his football again I think he can be good for us.

Weird one this Guernsey, is he better than what we have at the moment I think he is, is he a long term fix maybe not it's like all transfers it will divide fans, just like the Walcott transfer some like me think it's a good idea others not sure let's see what happens but we need to trim the squad abit so Niasse going would free up space.

Got to say Guernsey I'm made up to see him in the blue of Everton, and looking forward to seeing him link up with Cenk at the weekend.
And I'm with you get a LB in and I too will be happy with the window.

Excited about that threesome hopefully we could get to see it at the weekend Sig behind them 3 Gana and McCarthy behind him get a lb and we are looking a lot better than we have been.

Lots of thumbs down there Guernsey think they are the Sam haters, the problem is you can't please everyone when we were looking for Rks successor every name that was mentioned different people had different views on why we should or shouldn't have hired them.
I'm happy to have Walcott sign lb next and I will happy till the summer as Grumpy says we can't sort everything out in this window let's just get behind Sam and the lads and see what happens.

{Ed025's Note - well said lee..

Wblue I was just listing 5 lbs and if you read my post I did say that we probably wouldn't get them and they wouldn't want to come to us with the way we are playing I'd be happy with Garbutt till the end of the season.

Chilwell (Leicester)
Bryan ( Bristol)
Sessegon ( can't spell but Fulham)
Shaw (Utd)
Tierney (Celtic)
There's 5 Smit but I bet there are more and at the moment don't think we could get any of these why would they come the way we are playing rumours Garbutt is training with the 1st team hope this is true.
