I work at Manchester airport and Depay has just been in to where I work to eat he was signing autographs and taking pics asked him about Everton all he would say was great club and great fans was really friendly will see what happens with this one.

1.) 06 Jan 2017 18:55:46
Very diplomatic of him. Couldn't expect him to say owt either way really. Was he dressed like a right t**t again?

{Ed025's Note - i know what you mean brian, he looked like a rastafarian vegetarian last time i seen him mate.. :)

2.) 06 Jan 2017 20:20:08
I remember those rastafarian woodbines very well in Hong Kong late 60's. Believe some of the more restrained youth of today are quite partial.

{Ed025's Note - i have heard that too M, them funny fags seem to be everywhere mate..

3.) 09 Jan 2017 12:06:52
If he comes to us he can cross dress for all I care. Get him in!

23 Dec 2016 23:12:54
Papers and media suggesting RK wants a swap deal involving Barkely and Sissoko surely it's not April 1st already why would we even want him with what happened in the summer as he put it spurs are a bigger club than us we do need a creative midfielder don't think he's the answer though.

1.) 24 Dec 2016 06:50:46
This is just the media presenting a pretty obvious speculation imho.
I posed this very issue a few days ago in order to gauge the opinions of our posters - not only about the possibility of losing Barkley, but also (more importantly) about the prospect of bringing in Sissoko, especially after the way he reportedly behaved towards us during the Summer transfer window.

2.) 24 Dec 2016 07:29:56
The bloke is in and out of Spuds side, which indicates he is not consistent enough. RK has a plan but imo it does not include Sisoko. As for his supposed remarks on Barkley (not sure he will fulfill his potential) , it is only a couple of weeks back that Koeman was stating it had gone past the point of potential, I agree with that, the bloke is 23 and been in the first team squad for 3 seasons, he should be well up to speed by now.

3.) 24 Dec 2016 09:37:40
Said it before will say it again. Get better players around him and he will produce. If he goes to Spurs we will regret it. Sissocko no thanks. How many times have we seen a player have one good tournament then disappear never to be seen again. That's Sissocko.

4.) 24 Dec 2016 09:58:00
Sissoko. no no no no! He's not a creative midfielder and not the answer! That would represent a serious panic buy for me!

5.) 24 Dec 2016 12:26:11
Whatever the fans may say - and they're free to do so and they may be proven right - it's down to RK to decide who's in his team and if that means Sissoko rather than Barkley then so be it.

6.) 24 Dec 2016 13:38:32
True but then I can't see the logic in going for a player like Sissoko after the debacle in the summer. Don't think he is what we need and don't think he has the right attitude!

7.) 24 Dec 2016 14:14:11
I think its the papers spinning a story and it looks like its working. Barkley for Sissoko? Don't believe that for a second.

8.) 24 Dec 2016 14:24:17
Didn't Moshiri himself say a few weeks back that we'd dodged a bullet with Sissoko? I doubt he'd have him here, he knows how the fans would react to that signing now.

9.) 24 Dec 2016 16:57:17
Is this the same Sissoko that snubbed us in the summer. He's not done much for spurs why get rid of Barkley who is a better player anyway Merry Christmas to everyone even you Eds.

10.) 24 Dec 2016 17:06:56
After all if RK gets it wrong it is his job on the line come May.
Merry Christmas to everyone.

11.) 24 Dec 2016 19:38:43
This is Surely never going to happen. He slagged us off something awful and the proof of it all has shown that he just isn't that good.

10 Aug 2016 22:27:29
Rumours that we've put in a higher offer than west ham for Ghezzal don't know anything about him might be a Walsh pick see if it happens tmw Bolaise Kone maybe end of the week even Martins indi has apparently made a come and get me plea to RK interesting week before the start on saturday.

1.) 10 Aug 2016 23:02:58
Ghezzal is brilliant mate fast and skillfully. id be hasp if he was a blue. Id take indi as well
A striker and a decent centre mid and I'll be a happy blue.

2.) 10 Aug 2016 23:55:03
Bony and slimani if rom goes. Mata also should be the best window to date.

09 Aug 2016 11:02:06
Well the club just officially told us Stones has gone so where does that leave us? £50mill better off but short at the back hopefully a busy few days now let's see what RK and Walsh have up there sleeves.

{Ed002's Note - Rather less than £50M better off - something like £35M will be the amount Everton will have after paying off Barnsley and the player - and after legal and other fees. Up the sleeve is Ashley Williams.}

1.) 09 Aug 2016 11:36:28
Ed do we still pay off the player if he had not retracted his transfer request from last year?

Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - The club never accepted a transfer request - the player has to be paid what is due.}

2.) 09 Aug 2016 11:45:02
The fee is 47.5 mil with add on's to take it over the 50 mil mark according to the echo. ed how much money does Barnsley get out of stones deal is it about 7 mil.

{Ed002's Note - 15%.}

3.) 09 Aug 2016 11:52:12
Did Stones end up handing in a transfer request ed? If so doesn't that mean any loyalty fee's get waived in the event of a transfer? . Or are there other fee's involved? .

{Ed002's Note - The player has to be paid off - there was no forced exit.}

09 Jul 2016 08:37:14
Reports saying we are having "issues" with Witsels personal terms that's why he hasn't signed yet maybe just a rumour but looking likely a move to Napoli is closer than us.

{Ed025's Note - i still think we are in the box seat lee, surely the prem is a better option than serie A mate..

1.) 09 Jul 2016 11:11:58
For 'Issues' read 'Elstone trying to pay on the drip' It's the Everton way.

2.) 09 Jul 2016 09:41:17
Im hoping so Ed would be a good addition to the squad and the prem is the place to be.

{Ed025's Note - it is lee..

3.) 09 Jul 2016 12:57:05
Ed, why is it that every year you can bet your house and your life savings that Everton will be one of the slowest at signing players? If this rests with Robert Elstone is there a chance under the new regime that he could be replaced? I find this situation very frustrating, especially when Leicester, West Ham and the like can get deals done quickly. What are your thoughts?

{Ed025's Note - the euro,s and having a new manager has not really helped us to do our business as early as we wanted kenyan, the way we operate will change in the future when moshiri gets his director of football installed though mate..

4.) 10 Jul 2016 08:04:16
Thanks Ed. let's hope so. 👍🏻.

Just been reading about a 15 year old Brazilian kid we've signed Pedro Neves, apparently signed from Charlton. Hopefully one for the future and a Brazilian at that do any of the regulars know anything more about him I follow the u23s but not as far down as the youth set up.

26 Jan 2017 23:07:24
Has anyone seen the piece on Baxte coming back to the club when his 12 month ban is up to join our under23s, nice gesture by the club but wouldn't want it to affect the other lads in the team hope he takes the chance with both hands and shows the club the respect we have shown him might be a future 1st teamer.

25 Nov 2016 22:13:49
Just a quick question for any of the Eds or anyone who knows, Changs sponsorship runs out the end of this season does the club promote itself to potential sponsors or do potential sponsors promote themselves to us. I myself would love a sponsor that we can have on infant kits as well as adults so they feel like the player on the pitch, any realistic sponsors fans would like?

{Ed002's Note - It is a mutual agreement that needs to be met so it is effectively a bit of both Lee. There have been further discussions with Chang but Everton are looking for an improbed deal. The other company they have spoken with would likely not be suitable for kids as it is a gambling business.}

1.) 26 Nov 2016 10:44:57
It does seem that until we become a better-known (regular Champions - or at least Europa - League? ) club that could attract a major international corporate brand as sponsor, we are having to look at booze, gambling or money-lending companies as the most lucrative potential sponsors. Anyone know any different?

2.) 26 Nov 2016 11:29:40
Baarceelona use their shirts to promote Unicef. A very worthwwhile caause in my view. I don't exxpect we can do such a thing but it would be nice. I guess Barcelona are a bit wealthier than us already!

{Ed001's Note - they only did that to get the fans to accept having shirt sponsorship, it was not done out of the goodness of anyone's heart.}

3.) 26 Nov 2016 12:08:34
Betting and alcohol companies are slowly becoming less popular due the junior shirt issues. So they might see us as an option given our need to come up with a deal far better than the one we had with Chang. I'd love a sponsor that could go on a junior shirt but it may just not happen.

{Ed002's Note - The driver will be the money - Chang, like most sponsors, want the profile of a club playing in the Champions League or at least in Europe.}

4.) 26 Nov 2016 13:52:22
I couldn't agree more Ed. At the end of the day the best deal in money will be on the shirt, or not on the shirt if you know what I mean.

5.) 26 Nov 2016 15:11:23
Thanks ed002 I know money will be the big factor always feel sorry for fans paying so much for infants tops that don't have a sponsor I'm sure Moshiri is looking into it as he's doing a very good job behind the scenes already.

{Ed002's Note - Moshiri will, I doubt, be concerned about the infant shirts.}

16 Nov 2016 22:18:27
Just watched Koeman on the premier league show very honest and tells it likes it is definitely the right man for our beloved club just need the 3 points in Saturday to show a reaction from the Chelsea game.

1.) 17 Nov 2016 18:16:05
Good little post that Lee, this manager is pure class which we can thank Mr Moshiri for and we need to forget the manager we had before, and stop the rubbish that is being written about R K, GuernseyBlue.

2.) 17 Nov 2016 21:16:28
Exactly Guernsey blue we are lucky to have RK as our manager and Moshiri looking after our club of course there will be blips and RK is allowed to have an opinion even if we don't agree with it I'm just looking forward to what the future holds.

3.) 18 Nov 2016 18:16:46
Time will tell if he is the right man, it will take a couple of years to sort Everton out and he does not have a record of staying with clubs. If he stays he could be the right man.

05 Nov 2016 14:06:39
Just watching the derby wolves game and Will Hughes looks promising don't know if he'd be worth a try for especially when we have our own young midfielders what do people think? Looking forward to seeing Barkely against Chelsea hoping for 3 points.

1.) 05 Nov 2016 15:43:45
Will Hughes has been around a few seasons now and looks a good Championship player. and possibly just about Premiership. but not to the level we will need.

2.) 05 Nov 2016 16:45:10
Cheers Degsy have heard his name a few times he looked ok just what I saw today I know what you mean about the level we need.

I think a punt on Depay from utd think RK could get the best out of him but I trust who RK and SW are looking at and the blueprint for the team to come.

{Ed025's Note - is it april 1st already?.. :)

RL76 wouldn't mind round or oval for a new stadium I think there's so much going on behind the scenes that when it's all announced there will be a few shocks love Good is on but it's time to move on just don't want a stadium like West ham.

{Ed025's Note - a team like west ham would be worse lee.. :)

One game tedster and so many emotions the joy of being an Evertonian can't wait for Monday.
