I don't blame the manager for last night. If he would've dropped Gomes, people would've said "oh you've taken him out the team when he finally had some confidence after Brentford". If he keeps him in the team, you run the risk of THAT last night. He was in a lose lose really.

But Lampard surely knows what he's dealing with now, he's knows a lot of these players are rubbish and don't have the bottle for it. Coleman, Keane, Holgate and Gomes especially. I expect a few changes against Leeds, he'd be silly not to. We have to play 3 in midfield and a flat back four. The problem is who partners Branthwaite. Keane is slightly better than Holgate, but he's slower.

Tough decisions for Lampard but he will get time. The players let him and the fans down last night. Except Gordon and VDB.

I'm with you there swan. I'd go holgate over Keane both liabilities but Keane more so imo. Especially with a young branthwaitte next to him Keane wouldn't be able to lead the defence. I'd play Paterson and myko as well (pending C.V.) . We'd definitely leak a goal or 2 but it's the best defence we have with mina and Godfrey out. 3 in midfield of dvb Allan and delli. Flat 3 up front Richy Dom and Gordon.

every premier league player will do well against a newly promoted side who have now been found out.

I’d go Keane over Holgate alongside Branthwaite. Keane seems to be better with someone solid alongside him, whereas Holgate is a liability whoever he plays with.

Branthwaite looked well out of depth last night sadly : (.

I think seeing your captain chasing shadows on one side, Holgate chasing cards on the other and Keane next to you would have that effect on most people.

Is Gray definitely out injured on Saturday Chris? If he isn't I'd find room for him in the side, probably in place of Deli.
