I think it shows how weak the normal first eleven are when in Coleman's absence there is no one from the rest to start as captain other than that giving it to Siggs who would not normally start. Shows we lack leadership on the pitch at the moment.

Personally keenone i'd give the captaincy to any of Keane, doucore or Allan before I’d give it to sigurdsson.

Regardless of how poor sigurdsson has been I’ve never once seen him shouting at other players or giving direction etc so not sure why he’s picked as captain.

I’m not sure how he manages it but he seems to always get picked regardless of how poor he is and regardless of what manager we have - I swear he must have something in his contract that means he gets picked.

i am disappointed by Kenny i remember watching him for the u23s and he was a carbon copy of Coleman but when he plays for the first team he just does not do it for me runs 10 yards stops and passes it back or sideways this is the same kid that the worlds greatest ever fullback Trent from across the park couldn't dislodge from the Eng u23 team i have no idea what has happened to him.

Its almost like he is terrified of making a mistake Brank. So plays the safe option all the time.

BrassingstokeBlue yeah bud not sure what has happened to him but the player i watched at u23 level has all but gone which is a shame.

In Allan's first game, he was organising, cajoling and leading by example. Either he does not want the Captaincy (when Coleman isn't available) or Carlo does not want to put Siggies nose out of joint.
