The best goalkeeper we've had since Moyes left has been Joel Robles

Why is this such a problem position for us always.

I wouldn’t say it’s always been a problem position, just last 18 months Pickfords become a liability, time to give no 2 a go, and he would know he has chance to grab no 1 jersey.

As much as I think Pickford isn't good enough, Robles was equally as shocking. We haven't had a decent keeper since Nigel Martyn, Tim Howard was better than we have seen in recent years and that is stretching it a bit.

pope is good but burnley don't need to sell (they actually need to buy but their board are tight) the west hams have found that out with there cb chase at 50 mil! we can't buy another 30 mil plus gk, we just can't. we need mr steady. someone who will comfortably play at this level for a season if required but realistically, will come in and push for nos1. who can oust pickers for a month and let him sit on the bench and truly reflect. it then goes 1 of 2 ways. has the desired effect and gets him to work on his game, attitude and concentration (perhaps a sports shrink? ) or nails his fate and we can limp along to next summer before off loading him and finding another top keeper. the issue is if we dump pickford now, wed need to buy 2 before this window shuts. impossible. surely we can loan some 30 to 34 year old for the season? before committing last-minute. com.

We can spend that much on a keeper, TA, if we sell Pickford to bring another in. I think he's gone beyond redemption with a lot of the fan base so just get rid! He doesn't seem to learn from any of his mistakes does he? For the first time last night, when he didn't clear the ball properly for their goal, he looked as if he knew his time is coming to an end. Sell him while he's still England's number 1 or we will have to take less for him once Southgate decides he's seen enough from him too.
