Wow report saying Carlo will listen to offers for up to 9 of our players, that would take a massive amount off our wage bill, here's hoping.

Who would tie nine be? I’d guess:

Theo
Iwobi
Siggy
Davies
Delph
Bernard
Tosun
Bolasie
Sandro

That’s a lot of wasted money over the years, such a dressing account of our transfer policy, but a lot of wages off the books too which is great.

Besic is another mate.

Of course, so maybe not Siggy then?

Don't think Davies will be 1 of them but would think that pickford may be.

So you get rid of Pickford to where?
And replace with who?
I think Pickford will have a steady season with the changes made.

O think Gomes looked back to his best with quality around him and I think Siggy could too.
Tosun going nowhere until January I would think.

Tosun injured for a while yet and is useless. He makes noises in the press that the only market rumoured to have him is Turkey. says he isn't interested in a return home.

Bernard surely is a profit as he was free. Nice guy and all that rubbish we've been telling each other in recent years about far too many of our players but, isn't good enough. Get rid ASAP. Surely he is worth 5 mil to some Brasilia club or eastern block state. But on his wage, he'd be a fool to throw away his pension. He wouldn't surprise me to sit on the bench until last day of his contract. 120k a week?

Bolasie needs to push for a loan and take some responsibility otherwise he'll be here until his contract ends. Next year? So as he will never get wages close to what he's on, he will sit and wait. And pick up a signing on fee and disappear into oblivion laughing all the way to the bank.

Same goes for Sandro. 12 months left, he's flopped left and right, why would you not see out the bumper pay days? The couple of rumours about him all said the same, player wages are prohibitive.

Iwobi was such a desperate move. Was it to appease us fans on deadline day? Was it to appease Silva in a terrible window? Arsenal more than got their revenge for Jeffers on that one. I always liked him when I saw him for arsenal. He has turned out to be painfully bad. But I can't see him going unless another loan. And it'll likely be one of those deals where the parent club pays most of his wage. Nightmare.

Delph could have been inspired but his sicknote reputation was a risk and we have been stung. Hasn't entertained a smidgen of criticism from us fans and that never goes down well, though I respect his sneary outbursts about our fans. Hope Leeds (can't see why) rumour is true. Bet he's here until end of contract too then he will float off to the MLS, play a handful of games and then retire.

The enigma of TD. The fans seem to want him to succeed even if he looks like a lg 1 player 99% of the time.
I think he's crap. No chance were Newcastle in for him at 12 mil, if he was, Brands would have ripped Ashleys arm off. What's the point in loaning him? He will never make up the gulf between him and the likes of our new level midfield. Not in a 1000 loans could he improve enough. Sorry, but another local lad who's blue tinted glass has definitely fallen over and is completely empty.

Wally? Another one of our "but he's such a nice guy".
Wenger was on to him for years. He had the hatrick against Croatia and a season where he did bang in some goals consistently. He needs to go and get some media training and start to think about his next career path. His reaction when he stated that Carlo had said to him "you can score some goals you know? " seemed to go in one ear and straight out the other without a flicker of it being a criticism. He will be impossible to move on. Another here until the last minute of contract.

Mo Besic, We should have flogged him as soon as we could, about 3 years ago. I know he had a big injury and I know "we" have been starved of talent that "we" love a tryer (even if they're not very good) not sure why he didn't ever convince any of his loan clubs to buy him as always heard good things about his loans. However you dig a little deeper and actually wasn't played as often as we thought and he was liked because he's a bit of a maniac and fans like that, sort of cult following.

Gylfi S. The single biggest disaster to our club since Liverpool got us booted out of Europe. I read that in some odd quirk, if we sold him for 15mil this window, we'd actually post a small profit, in some saving on wages etc.
I think he will hang around like a bad smell and will be off next summer to the States. He will be kicking himself that he didn't leave this window but he still thinks he has a chance, and I like that. Shame he just can't get back to the form of his 1st season. If he'd maintained that level, he'd still have his detractors but he'd have been worth it. Just.

I think our most saleable assets are actually in the 23s and JJK.
Think Unsworth has a lot of over loaned out talents and they're all too far away from the 1st team. I say we should be dishing these guys out for whatever we can get. Any of them 22 or older should be sold.
If they don't get involved in 1stbte squads and training by the age of 21, it really isn't going to happen for em.
We need to start being a lot more focused and ruthless.
