Bit glad I working tomorrow because I am going to get totally abused for this post.
All agree we do not want some 'Dodgy Character' with billions taking over us, fine I agree.
But am I going to go to my grave sitting not far away from were my Dad was lifted over the turnstile by his father to watch Bill Dean's 60th goal in stadium that really hasn't changed that much since the 30s?
It cannot be long before the Health and Safety people move in to limit our ground to lower attendances, so (big breath, be brave Mushy boy!) we have to look at a ground share with them, if not all us older posters will be tapping away until arthritis kicks in hoping for an some miracle we get an Evertonian to take us over.
I want Champions League every year!
I would suggest a vote ed but it would probably be 99% No!

If it provides us with a stadium I'd say yes

Seriously, hate posts like this. Not changed since the 30's? Main Stand, 1st 3 tier stand in this country, ahead of its time then. Half moons behind goals gone. All seater, Gwladys Street changed, Park End knocked down. Only Bullens Road not changed. Why share? what's wrong with having our own Stadium and keep your identity, Nearly did twice, 3rd time lucky. Should never forget, 'An if ya know yer History' without which we wouldn't be the club and fans we are.

I don't see how sharing a ground with them would mean we loose our identity? Look at inter and Ac Milan, the 2 Munich clubs. They haven't lost their identity and they share stadiums. If it's the most cost effective and practical way to get a new stadium that would generate much needed revenue then I'm with Mushy

Howie it was the first 3 tier stand in the 60s mate, its the classic dilemma that no one will invest with our current ground because its not possible t make bigger, if we had the kings dock we we would of been far more attractive prospect, il go to goodison till the day I die But we wnt move forward if we don't improve, ask city or arsenal fans if they would go back its time to make new history imo

Not long ago Liverpool received Objective 1 funding which classed us as being as poor as some areas of rural Italy.
How can we justify the building of two new football stadia with that background?
The heart says don't groundshare but the head says it is the only way.
The council should be leading this by saying no more planning permissions for either current site. Government funding would be more readily available and in larger amounts for a joint project.
They should build the stadium and rent it back to the two clubs, so ensuring that there is no financial risk.
Think we missed the boat with a site as all the transport links are contained in Speke estuary.
Would have been a fantastic stadium on the banks of the Mersey with great links into town, to the rest of the country or abroad and no concerns of gnarling up the city centre with matchday traffic. Could also have given forst shout for concessions to those traders currently serving Goodison and Anfield.

Whats wrong with a ground share. Just because we share a stadium it doesn't mean we are training together or going out for cosy meals as 2 teams together.if any1 objects its ridiculous.share the cost.cheaper in the long run.could call it Goodfield Park lol

7.) 21 Feb 2014
My personal opinion is I think a ground share will happen. And the reason I believe this will happen is because, I think Liverpool council only really want one stadium due to costs etc. And are probably pushing the clubs to do this. Also, over the years both clubs have announced plans for new stadiums or developing our current grounds but the plans never come off either for planning issues or lack of finance. A new, shared stadium that we could all be proud with all the revenue it would generate has to be the answer

Liverpool won't ground share with us because they think they have an advantage over us and don't want us to get benefit of a bigger stadium - they think they will be able to 'go it alone' if they get champs league but they will never have as much money as chelski / man city / Manchester United and probably even arsenal which leaves them in the same league as us once Manutd get back on track which they will do sooner or later

The reds are only interested in beating us - not in progressing - hence refusal to share a ground

And I remember going to Goodison just after the under-soil heating came into being (and NO it was not in the 30s)

10.) 22 Feb 2014
No, it was 1958 the same year the Everley Brothers had a number one hit 'All I have to do is Dream'!
And this glorifying of our history is very well and good but it's standing in our way of progress.
