What’s the information about the young Hull city player we are being linked with? Can’t say I know much about him.

1.) 21 Jun 2022 21:59:54
He played well against Benetiz Blue earlier in the year. Under 21 international. Agreed 30m seems steep though.

2.) 21 Jun 2022 23:59:37
If you are on about Keane LP I want us to get him in as a replacement for Richy mate. Especially over say a Dennis or a McNeil. I have watched him play a fair bit and he I think he is mustard. His scope for improvement is massive too.

He plays in Richy's position, is right footed. In terms of his attributes though, i would say he is more in the mold of Gordon but a more aggressive player in terms of an attacking threat. He is quick off the mark. He has the energy to keep working the up and down the flank, he is comfortable beating a man either way and more useful, he can go either side on either foot to do so.

A difference to Gordon I would say is that he seems to have a better strike on him, he hits it clean with pace and whip, i know Gordon is capable of that but i would say KLP is a better striker of the ball. He seems comfortable and composed in one v one situations through on goal which is always a plus. His movement is aggressive and instinctual, especially with the positions he takes up at the back post.

For me he just seems like one of those players that has a bit about them, the Rooney street footballer types with a bit of bollocks on them.

The other lad Bowen didn't turn out too bad leaving Hull did he. KLP's ability is as good as, if not better than his.

30m seems a bit ridiculous though. Surely we can get it down to the early 20's. I think Bowen was £22m. In an ideal world, we could ship the likes of Gomes or Kean over to them ?.

3.) 22 Jun 2022 11:03:19
Exactly the type of player we should be looking at. He won’t demand 30 million, it’s just paper talk. Hopefully something can be done with this one.

4.) 22 Jun 2022 11:25:44
Need young and hungry players. The odd experienced player too. Tarkowski is great signing I think and someone in the mould and ilk of Christian Eriksson would be great. Think he's off somewhere else but and experienced spine of the team is needed.

5.) 22 Jun 2022 14:27:58
Is that official that think be a good buy meself like if its true think he can be a good player for us.

11 Jun 2022 20:04:40
If Richarlison is off to spurs, I wouldn’t mind us asking for Rodon as part of the deal. Another player who I think could do a job for us is Ampadu.

Revs

{Ed002's Note - Neither are of interest to Everton.}

Any rumours on who the new shirt sponsor maybe?

Revs

1.) 21 May 2020 12:54:01
I haven't a clue who we've been in talks with. As long as it's a good deal for the club that's all that matters.

I did see a fan created hummel kit with USM as the sponsor and Megafon on the sleeve.

2.) 21 May 2020 15:13:47
I like the look of that.

3.) 22 May 2020 20:50:34
yeah agree dentie looks nice that kit.

4.) 24 May 2020 17:25:57
Nicest concept I’ve seen, would buy that in a heartbeat.

5.) 24 May 2020 21:31:53
Never really got the obsession with what a kit looks like I couldn't care less, it's a football kit? Maybe it's because I'm one of those who don't wear one to watch the match.

Is there a deadline for when Juventus have to meet their obligation to buy Keane?

Revs

1.) 01 Jul 2022 21:50:55
End of next season I believe.

2.) 01 Jul 2022 21:57:26
End of this season Is my understanding Revs.

3.) 01 Jul 2022 22:31:29
He joined Juventus on a 2yr loan deal with an obligation to buy at end of it.
That 2yr loan ends next season.

4.) 02 Jul 2022 00:17:16
End of next season. They are trying to offload him early mostly so they don't have to pay the 2mill second year loan fee and the fact he's crap.

25 Jun 2022 08:54:35
I know we have the ffp and the possible take over to contend with but seeing teams getting their transfer business done early whilst we are waiting for certain dominos do fall is so frustrating considering the changes we need to make with our squad.

Revs

1.) 25 Jun 2022 09:08:10
I wouldn’t get too bothered by it Revs.

There’s only been a few deals so far and of the teams in and around our position it’s only Newcastle and Leeds that appear to have done more business than us (Tarkowski apparently done and will be announced 1st July) .

Pointless comparing our business in the market to spurs and city as they’re on a completely different level to us.

The rest of the teams around us have done none or the odd signing i'm aware of.

Reckon come the 1st July when contracts end we’ll see several more deals within the league.

2.) 25 Jun 2022 12:30:21
It looks like we have to sell before we buy and that we are looking at those players who's contracts are about to end. Think we will see some movement in first week of next month.

3.) 25 Jun 2022 16:35:53
And like Tarkowski under contract until the end of June, so are Towson, Delph, Sigurdson, and we’re still paying their wages until then, I’m not sure if that’s the date old and new sponsorship finish and start, when more funds may be available, so 1st July should start things moving. Not only all that but Hummel hinted at the new kit being released in July, add to that the new main and sleeve sponsors will probably be getting put on I’d imagine any grand unveiling of a new signing will be in the new kit et al.

4.) 26 Jun 2022 18:50:42
Think I read our financial year ends June 30th which could else explain why people are talking about July for activity because it would fall into the new financial year.

16 Jun 2022 17:43:54
With FFP crippling us does anybody have any idea on how much we are able to spend this transfer window? I cannot get my head around it all tbh. Big teams keep on spending and the rest don’t seem to be allowed.

Revs

1.) 16 Jun 2022 19:09:23
£37. As long as they agree to installments ?.

2.) 16 Jun 2022 19:04:16
Might be worth asking one of the Ed’s. Is it a case of we have to sell to buy but can reinvest that money or is the state so bad we can expect to sell Richarlison for example just to cut the debt with nothing going back into the team.

{Ed002's Note - The debt is less of an issue than being fiscally responsible and working within the FFP rules.}

3.) 16 Jun 2022 19:16:35
Think a lot goes on saveing outgoing wages of players who are out of contract and sales of players ie Richy, if he goes.

4.) 16 Jun 2022 19:26:12
You earn more, you spend more. Pretty simple.

5.) 16 Jun 2022 20:16:48
For us it's all about the wage bill, and the ridiculous payouts to managers etc.

We are at least coming to the end of the worst of the player outlay, and I'd like to think we should only have the 1 ex manager to pay off, where at one point I think it was 3 or 4. So I think as long as we can cut the wage bill closer to 70% of turnover rather than 90% or whatever it is now then things will start to look a lot better.

6.) 16 Jun 2022 21:23:57
FFP is a complete load of nonsense by the sounds of things.

7.) 17 Jun 2022 06:31:30
It makes sense to stop teams becoming crippled with debt and no longer able to exist but it does feel very much like it will create a monopoly for those teams with the infrastructure / ability to generate the biggest channels of income (top 6) . Not all teams can dine at the top table paying the prices for the best players anymore.

I’d like to see some sort of wage cap to help spread the talent around the league and make every game more competitive. It would never happen as the richest clubs wouldn’t want it and would point out their success should be rewarded.

8.) 17 Jun 2022 08:58:29
Let’s go back to £20 a week and start again. At least we had proper footballers then. Not everyone remembers those days.

{Ed025's Note - a shilling a week and all the tripe you could eat. Halcyon days indeed Brian .. ?

9.) 17 Jun 2022 09:37:47
A. We are not skint.
B. Without FFP we would be able to service debt but many Clubs would not be able to.
C. FFP set the rules, I don't agree with it, but Clubs signed up to it. D. I think we got away with our irresponsibility last season (s) , we will not get away with it again.
E. Expectations (transfers) etc! need to be tempered, free transfers and hidden gems is the priority.

10.) 17 Jun 2022 11:38:00
Make a lot of sense DFS but don't mistake our owners wealth with Evertons. We are very much skint. When an owner converts debt to shares to help the balance sheet then you are by definition skint!

11.) 17 Jun 2022 13:05:54
EFCONE, I mean not Skint (without FFP) while we have an owner (s) willing to subsidise the business. The £500 mill takeover rumour is, coincidentally what Mr Moshri has spent. I would not expect him (or Usmanov) to accept that.

12.) 18 Jun 2022 16:08:58
DFS, if an owner can recoup the majority of their outlay then they have done well in the football world. I read an article which speculated that FM had been spooked by the threat of relegation almost becoming a reality last season. He would have lost millions if we had gone down so maybe that's one reason for him to at least listen to what others have to say.

On top of that, the dynamics changed when AU was sanctioned by the government. If he can't invest in or sponsor the club then FM had lost a lot of revenue streams that he didn't expect to. Maybe it's the right move for all parties involved?

Can’t help feel a little underwhelmed by the transfer fees we’ve received so far this summer especially for Gueye.

Honestly think this Mina nonsense and a smokescreen by us. As it's being reported throughout it would appear that the player has no interest in joining us. For my money it's either Lascelles or Rojo or both.
