Some more rumours of departures.

Iwobi has come out and said he wants to taste champions league football again. Can’t see that happening with us so he may be off, however can’t imagine we’ll recoup much for him if he goes, I’m also not sure a champions league team would come in for him.

West Ham also allegedly keen on branthwaite - hoping we don’t sell him as he looks a cracking player and should be starting for us next season. If we sell to West Ham that would be quite depressing.

Read a rumour that the fee is 6m ?

A young 6ft 5, left-footed 21 year old center back, who is good on the ball. Good one.

I think he will start the season next to Tark. Only problem is and because we are Everton. If he starts promisingly, a big club may try for him between the 1st game and the end of the window.

If that is the case I wouldn't be letting him go for anything less than 20m with a clause in, maybe a sell on fee or first refusal buy-back.

I am looking forward to seeing him play. Even from his Carlisle days, it was clear he possessed decent talent on the ball. Don't get me wrong, he didn't pull up any trees in the 10+ games for us but he certainly showed glimpses. If he has had the opportunity to grow into his body a little bit, get used to the man's game and gather some confidence, he could be like a "new signing" for us.

I wish him the best of luck. Seems like a nice lad to me and just happy to play football. Not to misquote the lad but he was asked a question in an interview, whether he would look for a move if we went down. He said something along the lines of "I am an Everton player, therefore if Everton want me for next season and it is in the Championship, I will play for the club with just as much happiness in the Championship as I would in the Premier League. "

The lad is very young especially for a centre back. Hope to god he is offered an improved contract and given every chance to shine. If he said that JMW he'd be the player I'd give a jersey to.

Iwobi, champions league, again? Great stuff, who wants him? He did improve massively. However definitely time to cash in. Hope he does push for a move.

GD, you've taken the iwobi comments totally out of context mate. He was answering a question about playing in the Saudi league, which is quite topical right now. He dismissed playing there as he said he still wants to play in the Champions League again. That was it, he didn't say he wanted to leave us to play in that competition again, just the reason why he won't go to Saudi Arabia to play his football.
The club may want to move him on if he isn't going to sign a contract but it doesn't seem likely that he is pushing for a move just now.
