i bet if barkley is out for 6 weeks we go for donovan as short term cover - he can play anywhere up front and we only need him short term - he would also fit straight in
1.) Donovans impact never got us Champions League, really like the guy but we need to look upwards and to the future not to the past
2.) H was a Moyes player anyway
3.) Thats harsh on Donovan. He came in and gave us a lift. He could pick a pass and was direct with his dribbling and caused problems in every game he played. Was a breath of fresh air at the time. We can't brand every attacking player who actually does his job and tracks back to help the team a 'Moyes player'. In terms of his attitude and passion for the club he is very much an 'Everton player' who as a footballer has a lot to offer.

Unfortunately when permanently richer teams see our threat they will try to poach our best players or manager - they don't like anyone rocking the boat these days
I agree paddock and AB but to let a definite target fall through for the sake of instalments (as interest rates are basically nil anyway) - would seem to be an unlikely stumbling block on its own - if Robbie really wanted him I doubt this factor would have been enough to wreck it
Does not sound right to me - we're selling jelavic and we had 27m for fellaini in the summer - plus martinez says we no longer in dire straights
