R rite edd get this r kids bird works for a law firm that deals in the liquidation off assets and he reckons coz we have got a deal with rangers to pay 4milloion over jelavic contract coz we only paid 1.5 upfront if rangers go bust we could get away with not paying a few quid nobody can make us pay any other way but 1mil a year and lookin into it a bit more it's looking promising for us

Believable11 Unbelievable7

Complete and utter rubbish, even if Rangers cease to exist their administrators will gather the debts to pay creditors off. Look at Lehmans Bank they are still paying what they can of their debts through administrators.

Agree1 Disagree0

"its looking promising for us" glad to see that u may profit at the death of another club {Ed025's Note - i apologise for that mate...it was a stupid comment..

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!! Tim Howard has signed a new contract that keeps him at the club till 2016, talks with Distin to resume end of the month.

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Hello Fellow Blues,

Before anyone decides to rain on the parade of the 2nd piece of good news today this is on SNN text pages with quotes from Tim himself. I haven't had chance to go on the EFC home pages yet but this is good news as was the kit deal.

With regard to that piece of news and the subsequent responses; yes Nike do own Umbro, however we have signed with Nike not the subsidiary company so I expect that next seasons kits will have the Nike emblem. I don't recall ever seeing a poor Nike product so I would think the merchandise will vastly improve as well in style and range and because of Nike's worldwide brand our kits should start appearing everywhere.

Now this bit is supposition, Tim Howard, Marcus Hannerman and Landon donovan are all big names in the states and 'soccer' is very popular now with Beckham at the Galaxy. I don't believe a company as big as Nike would enter into our kit deal without knowing of potential sales and interest in the USA.

It augers well for the future so come on blues lets be happy

...And on the day he's been told that from next season he can dress like a keeper and not RAMBO...
Yep...it makes sense :)))

Agree0 Disagree0

Tim Howard mr consistancy, not missed a game since 2006/2007. USA USA USA

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure about this new contract, he has cost us a lot of goals this season through a lot of school boy errors.

Agree1 Disagree1

Every keeper makes mistakes but he has been one of our best sigings under moyes and more often than not he is top quality {Ed025's Note - i agree mate, every keeper makes the odd mistake, but as you say...tim has been great for us..

CONFIRMED... Nike to sponsor Everton next season in a 3 year deal worth 30 million. Hope the kits are quality! Been pretty poor since Le Coq took over

Believable28 Unbelievable9

With these idiots in charge it's more likely that Fray Bentos will be announced as the clubs new sponsor, worth a bumper 20 quid and free pies for Bill and chums over the next 3 years!

Agree0 Disagree0

Shut up complaining will you, why even say fray bentos when it's confirmed that Nike are in, koppite or compulsive moaner

Agree0 Disagree0

Uh... where is this 'confirmed'?

Agree1 Disagree1

It's reported in today's Mirror
http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Everton-set-to-sign-10million-a-year-three-season-sponsorship-deal-with-Nike-article875395.html

Agree0 Disagree0

Confirmation! Where??

Agree1 Disagree0

Who exactly has confirmed this?

Agree1 Disagree0

Some people do my head in on here. We get some good news for a change and still the sarcastic comments. I, for one am excited about this deal, it makes me think there is something else going on in the background and just proves we are heading in the right direction. FO and support Wigan if you like pies so much, person !

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree top name instead of secound rate brands leisure were will be better bet we have record sales on stuff

Agree1 Disagree0

Happy If true & i think it is heard this rumour for a while now! As posted above cant stand people who just moan all the time even when we get some good news! so if your one of them type of people? then in the words of porky pig! p,p,p, piss off!

Agree0 Disagree1

I revealed this 6 months ago (the ed can verify this and i was called all kinds)

Agree1 Disagree0

A three line story from the website of the Daily Mirror is purely and simply not confirmation but a rumour and to argue otherwise simply demonstrates that you don't know what confirmation means - even if this rumour does come to fruition! The point of pessism is that in the past the abundance of rumours that have not come into fruition demonstrates that the pessimistic reaction is the one most likely to be accurate and the optimistic one the point most likely to be a lie!

Agree1 Disagree0

Thanks for the info OP. As for Fray Bentos boy, why bother coming on here and slating someone who is telling the truth, its been confirmed on Radio City
Cheeks

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm happy Nike are in as more revenue for us but I don't agree the Le Coq kits were no good. I think they have been pretty decent overall (except the mustard crew neck jobby)!

Agree1 Disagree0

Its confirmed 3 year deal 30 million liverpool echo and daily post

Agree1 Disagree0

If everton is getting taken over by nike for the sponsor of our kits, and supposed to be worth 30 million they should at least make them pretty good.

Agree1 Disagree0

Wowwwwwwwww how much do people moan on here!!! I'm the original poster, heard it on Radio City, read it in the paper and read it announced on 7 Everton page forums on Twitter and Facebook.
Sorry next time i hear some good news i wont post on here!! It's a great deal compared to the Le Coq Sportif deal, that deal was worth less than 5 million over 3 years we are more than doubling are money and a worldwide brand are making our kits so i would expect better designs and the money will be great for a club in our position. As i said though i'l think twice before posting good news on here, i'l wait untill we get beat in a game and come on and slag Moyes and the players off most of you seem to prefer that!!!

Agree0 Disagree1

Seen a sneake preview of new kit on twiter if genuine kit as thin black stripes running through it. I like it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry i meant the le coq sportif deal was less than 5 a year so less than 15 over 3 years

Agree0 Disagree0

Clearly the original post was in error, Nike will be MAKING the kit, NOT sponsoring the team - HUGE DIFFERENCE.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nike own Umbro so I wouldn't count on it being a Nike made kit just yet as there is every possibility we could go back to Umbro let's face it Nike will want to be associated with as Big team as possible not that we are small (top four team) an that costs £££££ to take us on with our potential under Umbro for £30mil if we did make the top four it would be easy to change from Umbro to Nike saving them ££££££ that they would have to offer a present top four team ?? Only a thought like...... Hope I'm wrong either way change is good and a step in the right direction.

Agree0 Disagree0

Also according to Echo, don't expect 10 mill in Moyes pocket for transfers, the money , will come over time & via marketing strategies etc...still a goo deal , but it doesn't just give us 10 mill a season to spend ....for 3 years

Agree1 Disagree0

Great news but we need to get this ridiculous situation sorted where you can only buy Everton kits from the club shop,we need to get our Everton everywhere

Agree0 Disagree0

I can read the words ''POISED'' to sign a sponsorship deal with Nike worth £10million a year over three years.

So hold on to the cigars ...

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Everton-set-to-sign-10million-a-year-three-season-sponsorship-deal-with-Nike-article875395.html

Agree1 Disagree0

We will be able to buy the new kits anywhere next season as we r not with kitbag then thank god

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't care who sponsors the kits really as long as KitBag are gone, it's ridiculous you can only buy kits and other mercahndise from the store or online! Other clubs have there stuff all around the country like we used to before KitBag took over!!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not being pessimistic, just cautious. There are many many idiots who post utter garbage on here for us simply to be mugged off time and again (remember Gandolp?) Furthermore, until I read it from a credible source, the official Everton website or a reliable broadsheet for example, as opposed to a red top tabloid (the journos of which, frequently write crap), I will keep the champagne on ice. BlueTone

Agree0 Disagree0

I quite like Frey Bentos.....who does he play for again? (Wavertree Blue) {Ed003's Note - Damn hard to get out of the tin though}

Agree1 Disagree0

You need oven gloves made of asbestos....and you've also got to give the pies at least an hour to cool down. On a footy note though Ed, as kit deals go, Nike is the one that you want, the global brand of global brands....and the Brazilian's don't look too bad in them. That'd be nice walking out in the cup final in our lovely new Nike kit. (Wavetree Blue) {Ed003's Note - I agree,great sponsorship deal for you}

Agree0 Disagree0

This may all be just pie in the sky so lets see what happens and if it does happen we can have a steak in the big shops with our cool kits, so guys lets stop mincing about and get on with the business of football, lets kick Spurs asses this weekend as they are all a bunch of chickens.

Sorry Ed had to get my ten bob worth in

Degsy

Agree1 Disagree0

If we do beat Spurs that would put the crust on a decent few weeks....(Waverpie..tree Blue)

Agree1 Disagree0

I know Peas is ineligible for this game so lets hope someone else gets a few chips in from the flanks and puts it on a plate for Jelly who is cool as ice and will cream their back 4. Howard will hopefully be on the gravy train this weekend.

Agree1 Disagree0

Can the person who posted they had seen a preview on twitter please post the link or a picture cause I've looked and can't find it! Thanks,
Mickey Blue Eyes

Agree0 Disagree0

This is turning out to be the most popular post ever

Agree1 Disagree0

Oh crumbs...(Wavertreacle Blue)

Agree0 Disagree1

Why would it matter who sponsers a kit the only thing that matters is the money to use for finance of club use

Agree1 Disagree0

Everton don't sell enough shirts to get a £10M a year deal from Nike.
Celtic get £5M a year + probably another £5M+, depending on shirt sales.
No way do Everton sell anywhere near the amount of shirts Celtic sell. {Ed025's Note - but the thing is mate...we play in a proper league. now if mickey mouse wanted a sponsorship deal...im sure celtic would be top of the list!..

Agree0 Disagree1

I'll bet it was £10M over 3 years, at most.
