Does anyone know what the benefit of granting exclusivity is? Surely it would be better to have a few offers accepted rather than putting all your hopes in 1 offer, expecially if it drags on like the 777 did.

Anyone seriously looking at buying would want a period of exclusivity to enable them to carry out due diligence and get finances in place.
It costs time and money to buy a business so they don’t want to be in a position where someone comes in and gazumps them.
Just hope the exclusivity deal is a short one.

Agree Ed025, they may run a mile when they see what a mess the club is in.
{Ed025's Note - hopefully it will be plain sailing mate and it gets done very soon and without any hitches...but lets not forget...this is Everton.. :)
