Folks, Liverpool fan here in peace - was just wondering where u think things went wrong this season, last season yous were playing some really good stuff, but this season has been completely different - bit like Liverpool in that regard, esp our crappy form at the start of the season - reading all the Martinez out posts, which tbh mirrored our page the first half of the season but genuinely would like to hear some decent views/banter guys as although there I a rivalry I do believe yous are far better than your league position would suggest

{Ed025's Note - were not you know mate, we have some very good players, but a lot of them have been awful this season, it has got to stage where we expect to lose when we go out onto the pitch!..the confidence is shattered and is a direct consequence of putting square pegs in round holes, and asking players to bore the opposition to death with aimless pass after pass usually sidewards or backwards, this is a direct result of the manager being a fraud, he has been found out and most of us cant wait to get rid of this charlatan..

26/4/14 lost to Southampton - 2 og's : That's last season and not, as many believe, a recent phenomenon (see what I did there folks?).

He started tinkering even though we were still in with a shout of 4th place.

He messed up.

He continues to mess up.

He is an arrogant man who has stated, even this week, that he will not change his tactics (even though he does in Europe) and all we need to do is win our home games. Simple when you put it like that.

He seems to want a trophy at any cost. Even if it means our premiership survival like Wigan.

Well I don't. F2ck the Europa league as far up RM's orifice as you can get it. He is no Howard Kendall and does not give a toss about this club. If he did he'd make the necessary changes to squad and tactics to ensure premier league survival as a priority and not as a side issue to the Europa.

IF we survive, regardless of anything that happens in Europe, I will NOT be renewing my season ticket while he remains in post. This has to be the worst season I can remember attending Goodison. Yes, I am old enough to remember very bad times - West Brom, Walker, Wimbledon and that's just the W's :-0

But this season is different. Even early on there was no impetuous. No confidence. No excitement. No anticipation.

Hanging a bleeding great banner over the stadium at the park end? Big fail (yes, I know modern lingo). It was something that made you squirm. He hadn't even done or achieved anything. Massive fail.
Yes, it was soon changed after the early results came in but the scene was set and he thought he was the new messiah. He still does. even now. Wonder if he knows his picture has been taken down.

BK would earn much respect from the fans to act now and cut this fella loose. Saying nothing and hiding makes things worse. If things are going well BK is hard to keep off the TV so give us a statement.

We are in the position we deserve to be after the dismal performances we have served up this season. If I'm honest, the run in last season wasn't too great performance wise either but I never expected a slump this bad. As ed25 says, the confidence has has deserted them. Players getting injured/suspended and then walking straight back into the first team, no matter how bad their form is. Playing players out of position doesn't help, Barkley, who I think is more effective through the middle, is no winger despite getting put there when he plays. This is holding him back. In fact, nearly every player is being made to look worse than they are. Baines and Coleman look half the players we know they are. The only two I would say have been consistent this year are Naismith and Besic, the latter either is omitted from the starting line up or gets subbed every game. He must be so pissed off.
It's all well and good passing the ball about like Barcelona but you have to have the players who feel comfortable doing that. We do not have the same budget as them nor do we have the players to play such a passing game. You have to play to the players strengths, mix it up a bit. With the passing about the back, getting nowhere may I add, nobody wants to take responsibility of risking a forward pass. It's painful to watch, believe me. The manager has to take the blame, his style has strangled the life out of us. The very fact he is too stubborn to implement a plan B is annoying. At least your man knew he had to take a chance, change formation when things are going against you. And it worked. RM is refusing to do anything different, content to plug away with a system that has already got one team he managed relegated. He has lasted a month longer than he should, nothing has changed and I can't see where our next goal, let alone 3 points, is going to come from. The board need to address this slump, can we really afford to drop out the league? With only 30 points left to play for we need about half of them just to avoid the bottom three. We are in no sort of form to take that many, we just have to hope there are three worse teams than us come May.

Both our teams were on 21 points in December and your manager feared for his job so changed his system which has yielded 30 points and a rise to fifth, what does ours do? He says I ain't changing nothing as I am the master of proper football I can beat Real Madrid on Subbuteo with my possession football and therefore we have yielded 7 points in that same period. There my red friend lies the difference you have a man who when the going got tough he changed it around we have a blag Mourinho who hasn't got a clue.
