The transfer window needs to close before the season starts, If teams have not done business before then, then tough as all this unrest at the start of every season is a joke. Also I think any player who has more than 18 months left on his contract should not be allowed to be approached for a potential transfer. Would love to know what the ed's and fellow blues think. {Ed025's Note - i agree batto..

1.) IMO the transfer window will never close before the start of the season. I think it's just a marketing stunt to raise the profile of the premiership. The winter transfer window is exactly the same.

Welcome aboard roberto to our fantastic club. welcome to the family. let's get behind him folks from the outset. he's not stupid and he will not tinker with our proven system. he will bring flair, positivity, a few good new additions. And he will be sold on the clubs traditions. he will make us a better team than we are now. we drew 14 times last season because moyes always set out to not lose a game rather than going out and winning it. its been that way for 11 years. I for one am really excited about the imminent appointment.

2.) I highly doubt Moyes always set out to lose a game. Otherwise he wouldn't have got the United job. The draws were down to poor finishing.

3.) He never set out to lose a game, but its difficult to argue that he didn't go for draws. Every time we were winning: get the striker off for another defender or Naismith (which in itself is basically giving up) so I hope we try to always go for wins. That said, I still have concerns regarding Martinez

Or the fact Moyes continued with 4-5-1 and was not as adventurous as he could have been.

6.) Out of any team in the prem last year we created the most chances in the oppositions box. but could not finish them!. FACT. If we had a world class striker last season we would be in the champions league without any doubt.
