Evening Eds and fellow Blues, just my personal opinion on the pending Martinez appointment. I think he will be a great manager for our truly great club, he wants to come to us, he plays great football, all his fellow pros and peers speak extremely highly of him, and I'm sure they know a thing or two. Yes, Wigan were relegated but they don't have the class of player that we have, they had injuries to key players and they won the fa cup with a tactical victory over a supposedly far superior team and deserved it. As regards to perreira, the Portuguese league is dominated by Porto and benfica and both have huge financial resources, he could have been another juande Ramos who was hugely rated at Sevilla then proper f***ed it up at spurs. Yes, it's a safe choice but at least he knows what our league is about and will have us playing some great football which in turn with our best 14 I believe will bring results, he is not afraid to go for the win, which let's face it as great as the legend that is DM was sometimes he was so negative with his tactics it really grated. So let's all get behind him 110% and you never know, he may actually sign a few players before the final 3 days of the transfer window! Lol.

Hi Eds and fellow Blues, this isn't something I've heard, its just my personal opinion. With DM going to man u ( he would be mad to turn it down ) I thought I would actually feel some fear and trepidation about this and would incessantly worry about who our next boss would be! Strangely enough I'm quite excited to see who we get in and to see if they can push us on for a couple of reasons. DM had taken us as far as he could with the limited resources given to him, how many times did we question his 4-5-1 formation and his rigidity to stick with it in games even when we were losing? Were the players getting a little comfortable? maybe some were becoming stale. In a nutshell, I would like to take this opportunity to thank DM for the 11 years service he has given to our great club, and he has certainly left us in a far better state than he found us, right through from youth team to 1st team, but on the same note, we should look forward and embrace the appointment of the next manager, because they have a fantastic opportunity with our truly great club. {Ed025's Note - good post that skeeta mate..

1.) 100% agree with that statement. A big thanks to Moyes, the job he has done is absolutely brilliant, but it was starting to feel a bit stale, we need a new outlook on football, some new ideas. Moyes is a great manager, but he did have some big flaws, and hopefully we can find a manager that, how should I put it, isn't afraid to play some football against the better teams in this league, because I felt Moyes in the big games didn't really allow us to play our brand of football, instead it was sit tight and play for the draw, especially away from Goodison.

All down to Kenwright and the board, they picked right in Moyes last time out, can do it again? I bloody hope so, it is a big time for this club, need to get the appointment right.

Let him go, no ones bigger than our beloved club, but just get chelski and united involved in there to start a bidding war and push the price up. Then give Roberto all the coin to find some suitable replacements, I love Felli, but, if he doesn't want to stay then ship him out!

! Class Kurajan. Chill out guys, he's taking the piss, but that is the 1st riquelme shout of the summer, I heard he's due to land in Manchester airport next week in a swap deal for nani and rooney and Ashley young, and tom cleverly and Anderson all going the other way. that's how much Moyes rates him and wants him!
