Hi Eds, just to clarify the rumours of this 'big announcement' I tweeted Alan Myers regarding information on it and he informed me there was no big announcement, sorry blues, my twitter is @TomJDisley if anyone is desperate enough to think I'm lying haha.

Player I'd really be excited about Konstantinos Mitroglou, I have family in Greece and having spent some time there I have an obligation as I do to everton to support olympiakos, now the Greek league isn't anything special, but to write off a player because they currently play there is wrong, yaya toure, Kevin mirallas to name a few have all applied their trade in the Hellas liga, this lads a goal machine, his left foot his natural but his right just as capable, strong in the air, fast, and has a real crack on him, realistically think he would be available for 10M although he has just extended his contract with olympiakos, I'd love everton to get this guy because when he leaves olympiakos he is going to do very very well wherever he goes, I just hope for our sake it's us.

I have never read such nonsense from anyone as to what this swan fella posts. He loved barkley at that start of the season but he's 'highly overrated' now because of an unfit performance against one of the in form teams in the league, so let's say we sell him for the 25m your so desperate to remove David moyes' hand for, we buy 2 maybe 3 if were lucky decent rated players, who don't support everton, NEVER have done, the club doesn't mean anything
To them, it's just a wage, only ever so often you find a player who really bleeds everton, Tim Cahill was a prime example, Kevin mirallas performance last night was reminiscent of that, but you see it every time Ross plays, he loves everton, and he's 19 you melt, he isn't going to get the ball from a goal kick dribble the length of the pitch and lob the keeper, your an absolute remedial if you believe he would, honestly your opinion of football shows you've never played at a decent level or even have an adequate understanding of it, I've never read such negative crap anywhere, proper kopite behaviour that, you always moan people are having a dig at you. Are you actually suprised? Like really? Support your team instead of pretending you know better than Roberto Martinez, which you clearly clearly don't, as you aren't the manager of bootle, let alone everton, actually listen to what people who have a far greater knowledge of football than yourself, listen to what they say about him, watch his game, he's still a kid and learning his position, get off his back, it's people like you who are putting irrelevant pressure on young players, by basically saying you know he isn't good enough. Not arsed what people think, positive/negative, agree/disagree I love everton, and I'm absolutely heart broken we got beat 4-0 last night, but it's one game and it's gone, sick of reading negative posts, can you at least write 1 positive one?

GiannisTheBlue

1.) Agree with your posts if it was another 4 or 5 players wouldn't have ventured out last night . Ross did well it usually takes a few games as sub to get back into things, excuses yes but relevant ones

2.) 29 Jan 2014 16:15:31
no I said he is overhyped, and I've been saying that for a while not just last night, wayne rooney supports the club, youse all hate him enough, ross seems like a nice lad and as I said in my latest post I was saying nonsense last night and I don't take that back, I was saying absolute garbage, it was all my emotions coming out, if ross bleeds everton he should consider giving a damn if we win or lose, he tried too hard, trying to nutmeg people 20 yards from our goal, gambling the whole result so he can show off isn't 'bleeding everton', wish we had someone like tim still at the club, unfortunately we dont, our players are too quiet and non of them have that drive that tim had, closest we have is mccarthy who I love, even he bottled it last night, we need a leader on the pitch, cannot wait for gibbo to come back, he is a natural leader and will be golden in games like last night, but again I do admit saying some rubbish last night, I was in bits, gutted, so apologies

Mike-Ox Long

{Ed025's Note - well done mike..

3.) As you, reading back, I didn't mean it to sound like you hate the blues haha it does seem different to how I thought of it, it was in no way meant to sound malicious I'm probably still sulking cause let's face it, we've all had it in the neck today from that horrible lot, just felt a bit sour reading that as I came on here to try look at any positives anyone took from the game (stretch of the imagination I know) I'm nice really mate, I promise haha, full credit to you though for that reply, would have been easier to let me have it.

Usually just a reader, don't know if anyone recognises my name but I posted a few times about mirallas when we signed him, anyway blues just wanted to say how much of a difference there is reading posts compared to this time last year, there's rarely any mention of kenwright at all,

I hate it when I read a negative post about moyes, I'm only 19 myself so I'm ashamed to say I never got to see the great everton teams over the years, but I do remember from my youngest memory what an unstable team we were, on the verge dare I say it of being relegated, and along comes Dave, he balanced our club when we needed it, yes it was time for him to go, but the man gave us a long service, he gave us hopes of Europe and set the majority of our team up for bobby, a man with far More of a tactical knowledge and modern footballing brain, to take us on and become one of the best two footballing teams in the league.

Just a quick one for those spuds fans, where's the harm in loaning one of the best young forwards in the world (lukaku) one of the best young wingers (deulofeu) when it could earn us a champions league spot, then whose to say we won't bid for one of these players, or someone of equal quality with the money from the champions league and the club being a more recognised team around Europe again, honest lads there's no need to be upset and worrying about our loans, you've just spent £100M haven't you?

GiannisTheBlue

1.) Your loyalty does you credit, Giannis. But, speaking as someone who WAS a huge Moyes fan, sometimes people do things that just can't be overlooked. It was bad enough that he went to that lot, but his behaviour afterwards with that cringe inducing first press conference & the shameless pursuit of Bainsey was simply unacceptable. All that, "Sir Alec told me I was going to be the next Manchester United manager and you can't say no to that." twaddle - Yes you can! 2 letters, and & O!
Anyway, we've come out of the situation well on top, better manager, the team playing better football, not being scared any more of the so-called "bigger" teams. Win-Win situation. Plus, the added bonus of the chaos & meltdown at Mold Trafford!
To use a marriage analogy, what Moyes did was like having a wife who looked after you & your family well, built a good home & was you thought the perfect spouse. Then, someone with more money that she has secretly lusted over for years becomes available & she drops you like a flash & moves in with him. Just disrespectful & nasty behaviour.

2.) Good post - and I do agree that the Moyes posts are becoming a little tiresome.
Although I was not happy with the way he left, nor do I appreciate the contempt with which he has treated the club since he left, I do though appreciate the job he did for us. Having said that, he has made his bed and as a club we have moved forward. I must admit that I found his comment last week about not discussing players at other clubs quite amusing.

I have to agree on the Spurs front also. I couldn't give a monkeys what goes on at other clubs, so why the sudden disapproval at our loan signings? The word jealousy does spring to mind. After all we are a proper football club, run by a chairman who by his own admission is not the richest, but has made our club the envy of most true football supporters. We can justifiably have pride in our club, something money simply cannot buy.

3.) On the money Tezza. I was genuinely in despair when I knew he was doing the off. My mood changed though when he'd already begun working for them despite still getting paid by Bill. Then there was the long pursuit of Felli & Baines which as we know, ended up with them paying for one, virtually what he'd initially offered for both. My anger at the guy then turns to one of sheer delight when his 'bigger and better' club spend the first 6 months in freefall. Long may that continue. Yes, he did steady the ship but it appears he was also holding us back and ultimately, doing what he did showed how little respect he has for the club and the fans.

4.) . and then you pull the young Spanish sort from down the road and spend the rest of the year high-fiving your mates down the pub!

5.) I agree with Giannis and Tezza. I'm only 18, so I'm the same as you; I've only ever seen Moyes' team, never the old greats, but I do remember our struggling form earlier in his tenure. I, like you, am incredibly greatful for what he did for us - he truly turned our fortunes around - but I can't overlook the disgraceful manner in which he pursued our players and insulted our club after he left. I didn't blame him for going; who wouldn't? But had he have just kept his mouth shut and left us alone, he would still have all our support.

6.) Well said Toffee. You took the words right out of my mouth. Spot on.

7.) Agreed with all posts, but I don't think I explained myself in full, yes, David moyes is an ego enflated hypocrite, I think everyone has established that, but he still gave us a very long and loyal service, he could of jumped ship to Tottenham, villa when they were flying, possibly the RS, he was mentioned for the Chelsea job, city. But to be quite honest I don't care what he's doing or who he's managing, Roberto Martinez was the manager of everton last time I checked and moyes was the jealous ex wife, Everton aren't we

Well there's the obvious positives you pointed out, brilliant. But Incase you dididnt notice, Montpellier won the French league and they spent about 70p and a can of Coke in doing so, finishing above the likes of Lyon, marseille, psg, money isn't everything, agreed it plays a massive part in football, but the right manager doesn't need 100 mill, and please don't say we're not and never have been good enough, deulofeu and lukaku are worth 50M combined. Regardless if they are on loan, they play for everton.
