October could be a massive month for us, starting this Sunday at Goodison. We are moving along nicely in my opinion. Still loads of room for improvement though. Our young defenders have been a revelation so far this season. Howard and Barkley have also improved on last seasons performances. But so far I believe the person who's showed most improvement is Martinez. Although his substitutions still leave me scratching my head at times, tactically he's been sound and hasbeen prepared to change things when needed as opposed to last year when we played the same way even when the opposition worked us out. Also, this month we may get some good news on the potential new stadium. From what I heard from speaking to the fans at the Swansea game it looks as though it may happen.

I agree Martinez is the most improved. Still early days in the season but we can only go on was has happened and Martinez is doing better than in his first season in my opinion.
I have a feeling a lot of the positives around at the club at the moment stemmed from one clever bit of business. I should say business he turned down. Not selling John Stones. From that moment on everything fell into place. Mirallas signed a contract along with McCarthy.
Mirallas even said that was the reason he signed. Think everyone involved is on the one page and are searching for success. I know Mirallas has hardly played but I'm sure he'll come good.
Bill Kenwright has to be applauded for how he handled the Stones saga also. I know its a while ago. Somehow I think its a big contributor to how the season is going so far. Even Stones himself has acted like a mature professional.
Everything looks positive at the moment. In relegation dog fight days I was afraid of my life Everton being relegated. I thought if we went down god knows where we would end up. That seems like it is a long way off if it ever happens.
The only negative I see for the long term future of the club is the stadium. While the team seem to be improving the stadium is doing the opposite. It is slowly but surely deteriorating and needs investment either at Goodison or a new stadium. Obviously I'd rather stay at Goodison but I value the future of the club more.
All the other top teams have state of the art stadiums or are in the process of doing so. Everton need to up the revenue to continue to compete with the top teams.
For the moment I'm enjoying the football. For that I thank you Bobby and Bill. 😁
