I share some of the concern regarding performance so far this season and have reservations concerning the managers judgement and mistakes.
his biggest mistake was spending all that money on one player. Lukaku who in my opinion is nothing more than £12 worth at current performances. At the moment he is either not fit or is not interested in the long term haul with the club. He should also have brought in another goalkeeper ready to replace Howard who I don't feel is the type to encourage younger players to gain experience. Also another centre back was a priority with Distain at end of career and cover for Stones and Jags priority. top centre back in with Jags into Barry's position would improve the team. Recruiting players from a relegated team back to premiership teams is not forward progress. the board have answers to give why they authorised this.
Like it or not both Cleverly and Welbeck were available. Both players have benefitted by a change of club, no one more than Welbeck. Unless Lukaku start putting the ball in the net on a regular basis, forget about top 4, forget about Europe, as a top half finish will be the best to expect. It is okay wanting to play like Barcelona but you have to have the players to do this. best to stick with basics and play to players strengths.
In the event, David Moyes remains available to return to stabilise the club as I see it going back to 10 years ago. I am not speaking from panic, just common sense which doesn't appear transmitting from the boardroom.

I hear Mike Walker is also available. We want to move forward and not backwards lad
Age wise and on previous form even at that money it probably seemed like a win win for the board but we needed a striker he was used to the surroundings it all made sense but he's not as much to blame 4 one clean sheet
