The nearer we get to the end of the transfer window is it feasible to think the prices for players will come down.

Depends what players. If a club wants to get rid of someone but the price is scaring clubs away then maybe. But if the club wants to keep someone, then it will likely go up. Plus, it gives less time for a replacement to be signed and implemented into the club.
