That won't happen very often and I think we were very unlucky yesterday. If we were that dominant every week we'd probably win the league! However one thing that does concern me under Martinez is how soft we seem to be. We get ourselves in great positions in games and throw results away, we get on a run in the league and just when we are in with an outside chance of tagging the top 5 we lose at home to wba. It's harsh but last 30 mins of the semi against sitteh we capitulated too. is it attitude? Set up? Does he over install confidence when we are doing well? There must be a reason we keep bottling it!

bakayoko I personally thing he can't get them going he can't g them up, we have never under Martinez come out all guns blazeing, w. b. a reminded me of everton under moyes.

Totally agree Bakayoko. Martinez is too nice and its rubbing off on the team. We need q bit more grit and determination.

Do you mean they reminded you of being bloody awful under Moyes Muff?

We were good yesterday but concede first against teams like this and you end up playing against 11 defenders for 90 mins. The fact he had 4 centre backs on the pitch tells you everything about Pulis.

For me the substitutes were terrible yesterday. Kone killed the game when he came on. For me it should have been either Ged or Kev coming on and attacking from both wings with Lennon on the right.

Going with three at the back and taking off Brian and putting on Peinaar could have also been a good option. He also needs to make these decisions quicker and not with 15 minutes to go.

Technical naivety yet again, a good squad but run by Mr Nice Guy, what we need is a harder line manager that commands players respect, doesn't give a toss what the media think of him and demands performance's and results!

Totally agree what you say about about subs BlueJohnUns. They would be better options.

However I wouldn't agree with your stance on Pulis. No other team in the premiership kept more clean sheets than WB since he took over. Don't care what way he has the team or how many centre backs he has that is very impressive for me.

If you keep a clean sheet the worst case scenario is you draw 0 - 0. It also increases your chances of winning because all you need to score to win is 1 goal.

It's a result business and Pulis has a knack for getting results. After there previous 2 games it was inevitable Pulis was going to get them back in shape. That's his strength.

Its all well and good playing attractive football. But if we won the premiership with plenty of 1 - 0 wins I wouldn't be complaining. Even if it wasn't attractive football. I think most would rather win ugly than not win at all.

Pulis is a top manager imo. Would do well with England. He'd have better attacking players than what he's used to and would have the team well organised also.

NBTB I understand what you are saying but I wouldn't go to see one of his teams play.

I hated going to games under moyes most of the time because of this backs to the wall attitude. It's good if you are looking at a fight to stay in the league but not if you are hoping to aspire.

He made no progress in the EPL at Stoke and he's doing the same thing at WBA. Even Hughes is showing what can be done by playing attacking football.

We have a new problem now, RM has brought his own proven failed Staff with him and has obviously had long enough to show that his methods have now become embedded in the Club. What he has done in nearly 3 seasons will take years to repair unless the new owners identify very quickly someone with the adaptable intelligence to take this undoubted talented Squad to the heights it deserves.

I don't think it's a bad window. Yarmolenko would have been nice. Apparently from a quite genuine source we had an interest in Geoff cameron from stoke so it could have been worse! We've improved from last year and not took any massive risks. My only worry is if jags gets injured, stones is class but I think we underestimate how good jags has been for him and we look very inexperienced at the back without him there. Stones will go eventually and I think the argentine is a replacement, keeping stones another 6/12 Months allows him a bedding in period. I reckon stones to go in January, money spent on a replacement and a big name (probably yarmolenko). We look good though and I reckon Martinez and bk has thought longer term this window and we should be glad of that.

How anyone can slate Barkley is beyond me. He's young direct and effective. Those who say what does he do. well. he's played 30 games this year and got 9 goals and as many assists. You watch him every week so decide to pick on his faults. if anyone thinks those young players listed above won't have ups and downs and make mistakes then you are deluded. Let the lad play and be happy we have a talent like him at our club. He is t the best in the world by any means, but he is a very fine player.
