With regards to the poll of the day.

Champions League 15/16 season the tv revenue goes through the roof.

Does everyone believe next season will be easier to finish 4th?

I already think we'll be lucky to finish in the top 8. the current top 4 + man u and spurs, Southampton could have £100 mil to spend

qpr (if they come up) and Newcastle will all have a lot of money spent in the summer

For crying out loud how negative is that. We've just finished above two teams that spent almost £200million between them. We've got Ross who would cost £50 mill, Stones looking like £20 mill, and two full backs worth an easy £50 mill for the pair. The teams you've mentioned don't have this quality in their squads. That's why we have every chance of breaking into the top 4 with Bobby at the helm.

Come on BOTN cheer up man.

2.) 13 May 2014
What you say is true, but the difference is, that we will have the best manager.

3.) 13 May 2014
They will spend money unfortunately for them there current squads are garbage and only lallana would of got into our team this season.
All of this is irrelevant any way as were going to win the europa league and qualify that way.

southampton owe a lot in transfer fees and have to replace any outgoing players, spurs wasted over 100m, don't expect them to splash so much so soon again, Manchester United need about 13 players, and that's not including outgoings, they won't be top four next season and newcastle, lol

5.) 13 May 2014
Just a thought, who are QPR really going to be able to acquire that isn't a money grabbing merc, correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they splash the cash last time they were in the premier league. Look what happened. That's even if they manage to get up. I'm also wondering if we need to spend £100's of millions, with the wealth of talent I hear we have in the youth team, ledson, green to name a few, not to mention the youth already established, Barkley, Stones we could have a great team in 3-4 years without spending much money. Anyone remember Man U in the early 90's? Beckham, Giggs, Scholes. Didn't pay a penny for them.

I tend to get these comments of being negative when I post. The guy is just pointing out some facts. What used to be the "top 4" is now a top 5. Man City have bought their way into it. Man Utd's troubles are temporary. They will invest 300 million on the team if necessary. Add to this the money that Daniel Levy throws at Spurs.and one or two other clubs such as Leicester City announcing that they will invest 180 million on players next season means that with us there is effectively a top 8. We are maybe losing our top scorer. We may also lose our anchor man. who knows except Gareth Barry? All in all I think Backofthenet is asking a reasonable question. My answer is that we need Lukaku or Bony or another 20 goal a season forward and we need to secure Barry. Plus we need to replace Pienaar/Osman soon with better quality to have a chance of top 4. It is a big ask in my opinion.

7.) 13 May 2014
Or I can just say yes we will win the League. There that is a lot less negative.

8.) 13 May 2014
Money, money, money. come on guys Shamus 60k best right back in league. Let others spend what they like, it's about building a team, not buying one. As for the likes of MU yea let them carry on spending 27 mill ring any bells.

{Ed025's Note - good point WB..

9.) 13 May 2014
To be honest mate they have no premier league proven players in their squad, so this 180, mill there going to spend won't exactly guarantee them a challenge at the top end, and that will also include players wages so I would not worry about Leciester just yet we heard all these stories before the only two that really came to fruition when they said they would invest big was Chelsea and City I'm not worried one bit about Leciester.

leicester can spend as much as they like, qpr did that, look where they are, when leicester start signing the david silvas of the world then I will worry, levy bought most of their signing this season, he spent well, plus they are not a team, degsy, do you really think leicester will be in the top 8 next season? or even in 3 seasons time? rubbish, Manchester United can spend 300m, they need a left back, right back, 3 centre backs, 2 holding midfielders, 3 wingers, a striker and more replacements, 300m? will that get them back to the top, instantly? nope, there is negative, there is buzzkills and then there is you, oh well lads, when villa get taken over, qpr back in prem, spurs and leicester signing falcaos, agueros and ronaldos, newcastle on the up, in fact soon every team will be bought and have all the best players, why bother? let's just give up, we will be in the conference soon when every team in england but us has good players, jeez and I thought I was miserable

{Ed025's Note - what do you mean "you thought you was miserable"...your bloody well depressing mate!..

im in a good mood today aswell!

{Ed025's Note - god help us if you get a cob on swan.. :)

12.) 14 May 2014
Southampton will have a lot of money to spend because they face loosing their best players and therefore have to re-build. So they have to get players of the same quality of Shaw and Lallana plus invest significantly on top of those, whilst needing every transfer to work out. Whilst we face keeping our team, a better one than Southampton and adding to it. Leicster? 180m? Good luck to them, but I would rather be Everton in our position than Leicester and a 180m war chest any day. Do they have the wage budget to attract the players of the quality, they have no other pull, as come to us and we might stay in the premier league is not the best motivation for joining a club. Ie got bored knocking this one so I'm going to stop. They way your talking mate we all may aswell give up on football!

13.) 14 May 2014
Jeez Swan.I only said I thought the other guy was not being negative. and pointing out some facts. I do believe we have over achieved and done really well. I also believe that when there are 7 other clubs spending a bucket full more cash than you, then it makes signing players like Bony very difficult. He will have loads of top teams after him including Arsenal. Players like him will sign for:
a. Champions League Team.
b. The team that pays most wages.
They are mercanries these days. And to answer your question. no I do not think Leicester will be top 8. But I do think they will inflate players fees and wages that we already struggle with. Otherwise we would be signing 25-30 million players and not 60 k players from the Southern Irish League. He has been brilliant and I agree is one of the best right backs. But what's the chance of us finding even one more like him?

14.) 14 May 2014
I think you will push for top 4 again this year. You have a manager who loves finding gems, he found a few decent ones to come to Wigan. With the pull of Europa, the size of your club too and Martinez, you have a good season to look forward too. IF you get the right players and cope with Europa League, but I can't see Martinez struggling with that too much, or at least not for long.
