Any chance to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon? I rate him, I really think he's a Mirallas kind of player.
Thing is how much will they ask but I bet he wants out of Lyon because they are not going anywhere and are deep down in the league. Would be a great addition! {Ed002's Note - Lacazette will not be moving to Everton in January.}

How can you be sure ed {Ed002's Note - You will just have to trust me.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I am about as confident as Ed is that he won't.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed002 must be on the board at Everton!

BK in disguise?

Also it says Moyesy is going to offer £20m for Barkley. don't think he'd go, they already have Rooney, Nani, Kagawa, Januzaj that seems to be amazing, Carrick, Young, Cleverley. , and Moyes never played him and as soon as he does well for a different manager he takes a shine to him? Stupid. don't GO IF THIS HAPPENS ROSS YOULL RUIN YOUR CAREER

Believable4 Unbelievable13

Im I missing something here because from what I seen last year moyes didn't rate barkley at all, he loaned ross out last season to several clubs despite us being short of cm fielders, infact he preffered to bring on hitzslperger even though he looked like he haddent kicked a ball for years in games were ross was on the bench {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

BBC Gossip and Sky Text Paper Talk are both saying Gollum is going to offer £15m and Antonio Valencia for Bainesy! I'd take that in a heartbeat IMO

Valencia is poor had one good season and I really did rate him but since his injury he has been crap if you stop him going to the outside you stop his game completely, he is also 28 he will likely lose any pace he has left within 2-3 years plus he would want about 70k or more per week and he is definitely not worth it.

Valencia is substandard, overrated garbage. If we were to sell Baines I'd go all out and try to get Remy (£8m?) and Cabaye (£15-17m?) with the money we'd receive along with the few quid we allegedly have, or should have.
Play Oviedo at lb or go for Aaron Cresswell or Siqueira if he's still available with the sale(s) of Jelavic and Heitinga.
Easier said than done, I know, but we need to speculate to accumulate.

Yoan kebab don't make me laugh, wouldn't pay that for him on fifa with a rich team never mind real life with us, overrated badly regardless of his goal against us and again valencia must be avoided at all costs as he simply is not good enough

Mike-Ox Long

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't want Valencia, however, in reference to losing pace at 30 (what Mike said) just look at Distin. Close to 36 and still as fast as most of the Prem's fastest strikers.

Daily Fail says Spurs want Baines. ALL cash . sure Uncle Bill and his mate Daniel will sort a good fee out and Moyes will be found wanting again

Agree0 Disagree0

If baines was to go i'd much rather it be spurs than man utd.plus levy doesn't really care about paying a few million extra for a player as long as he gets him

Agree1 Disagree0

Cabaye? He should only be near Goodison Park once a year, and even then that's pushing it. Hate the child beater.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather take the same money and defoe off spures.

Keith distin is in the gym everyday not saying valencia isn't but since his injury valencia has lost a yard of pace and distin is fast without the ball same with valencia but how many wingers still have their pace past 30 years of age look at duff and giggs etc they can now run the 100m in 2 days its not the same thing mate.

Mike-Ox Long

Agree0 Disagree0

Rose and Sigurdsson- straight swap with the spuds?

Agree0 Disagree1

Sorry Mike, I haven't a clue what you're trying to say. Surely pace is pace, regardless what position you play. Are you saying a wide player loses or should lose his speed quicker than a cb? If you are then that's nonsense, if you're not then forgive my misunderstanding.

I didn't say that mate just wingers legs tend to go before centre backs not saying its fact but there isn't too many wingers out there who are lightening at 35 or am I just blind and ryan giggs is like a bullet and would do well in a race with dani alves? also injuries play a big part in whether a player keeps his speed over a long period of time just look at james vaughan for example and valencia isn't short of injury problems plus all in all valencia isn't good enough fast or not fast he doesn't take anyone on anymore

Mike-Ox Long

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair enough Mike, I can't think of many examples off the top of my head of wingers who are still quick at Distin's age who were once quick (if that makes sense). You may have a point there after all, and Distin is an exception to the rule.
Fair play to him for his professionalism and attitude, an example to many upcoming young players.

Ryan giggs

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone's legs go regardless of position, carraghers went at 32/33 when most others do. Distin is just a freak. Name one other 36 year old who's legs haven't gone yet!

to the poster who just said ryan giggs, if you mean he is still fast then you are blind, watched him against real last season giggs was proper sprinting holding his breath pushing himself and coentrap just jogged and got there first despite giggs having the head start

Hi Ed
I think we should be pushing as fast as possible to get a contract sorted for Baines as come Jan that ginger person will come sniffing! When do you think his new contract wil be sorted? {Ed025's Note - i dont know mate, but soon would be good..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Baines has to want to sign a new contract, which is by no means a given.
Hopefully it's getting done in the background as we speak but, if not, he'll be no great loss with his play in general, thus far.
The couple of free kicks aside, he's been pretty average, though this may be due to, in part, his partner in crime, Pienaar missing and his adapting to a new system. He looks a bit lost at the moment, in two minds whether to go forward or stay back.
Hopefully, with Pienaar back he can get forward more knowing his pal will cover him better than Mirallas and others have so far.

Utd are apparently willing to offer £15m and Antonio Valencia for Leighton Baines, also Tottenham are ready to pounce for Bainsey too
