As a fan of the 'peoples club', I hate to see our fans arguing with each other on forum like sites such as these, and particularly on groups on social networking sites where there are 'fans' from the other side of Asia making their views known, despite the fact that they have never been to Goodison.

Due to this, it pains me to say that I disagree with many views of so called 'fans'.

Firstly, the badge. Yes, I understand how it takes away part of our history, and we, as fans, were not consulted. However, at the end of the day, it's a badge. As a football club, we have better things to worry about than the badge, particularly now we have no manager. The club have said it will be changed after next season, so quit the moaning. please!

Secondly, personally I am a fan of Martinez, and would be chuffed if he was appointed our next manager by Bill. I do believe however, that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I can understand why people make their feelings known about who they want in charge. But, for those who are saying 'Martinez out' before he has even been appointed, I'll say it politely, please be quiet!

As a young lad, 17 years of age, it amazes me how football fans with more than double the experience of changing managers and of football in general, show such stupidity in times like Everton are going through at the moment.

I'm sure the real Everton fans, like you Ed, will understand where I am coming from. Feel free to comment if you agree/disagree.

P. S. no offence intended.

Everton 'til I die. {Ed025's Note - all i want matty, is the best for the club, i dont care if its vitor, roberto, or uncle tom cobbley....we should all back whoever gets the call..

A good post young man and well put. All that is happening is that real blues (not those who come on once and a while) feel very passionatly over events. My dads first game was Bill Dean's record 60 goals against Arse so no apologies, I owe it to the old fella (long gone) to shout out if I believe people who have not supported this club for a long time are calling for a 'nice man' who I believe is simply not up to the task.
Keep the faith!

3.) That was a great post, you said a lot there what I total agree with, we'll done you, mattyowilliams, coyb, Etid

4.) 29 May 2013 21:35:18
Intelligent lad mate and agree with you

Degsy

5.) Mattyowilliams, what you doing tomorrow?

Bill is conducting interviews! matty for manager! {Ed025's Note - mattyo roberto....sounds good to me..

6.) So you are totally against fans who have never been goodison? so you only want people in this country able to get to goodison to be blues? get your head out of your arse

7.) Please don't confuse passion with stupidity just because you might not agree with the strength of feeling expressed over and over by so many fans about all sorts of issues - and that's irrespective of whether you agree with their particular point of view or think the issue is unimportant. This is a rumours and banter site and I enjoy the craic - even if some issues are done to death and some posters IMHO just enjoy being contrary or cantankerous (no names, no pack drill!). It's surely up to the Eds to draw a line under any subject once it's past its sell-by date and not let through repetitive or boring posts.

Can I ask what everyone's view is on Apostolos Vellios?

I'm not saying he should be a regular starter, but when he has played for the first team, he has impressed and proved a handful.

His record in the reserves, or u21's this season, is very good in terms of games to goal ratio.

Is there something that he lacks that is vital to play first team football for the club?

I would be interested to find out your opinions, any ideas Ed? {Ed025's Note - he had a spat with moyes last year matty, and since then has found his opportunities limited...new manager new broom, its up to him now mate..

mattyofwilliams

1.) Rumours are he shagged moyes's daughter

2.) The second poster must think it's hollyoaks or something. I heard moyes was having an affair with dot cotton. Evertonconspiracyrumours. com
Uncle Ben

3.) I did rate him but think his time with up is up with martinez on his way. never got the games he needed to really bed in

4.) Stop posting filth and lies please! Vellios has not been putting the effort in training so he has been dropped.

5.) Cant blame him for that I would

6.) I know quite a few of the under 21-18's because I went school with adam forshaw and there was always talk of them all having a go for moyes's daughter and vellios had been out quite a few times with her and the rumours are moyes wasn't happy with that! nothing to do with his drop in form/poor training

Been posting plenty today, eyes fixed on tv News. off school for the week. Personally I'm happy that it looks as if Martinez will be the next manager.

However, I do know that many of you aren't, but let's face it, there was never going to be an appointment that everyone was happy with.

So, whether it be Martinez or someone else who will take charge, let's get behind him and not be like those Chelsea fans. they only made it harder for there team to succeed.

Why does nobody want Martinez as our next manager?

For those saying he is a poor manager as he got relegated with Wigan, he did miracles to keep them in the Premiership for so long.

You can't forget he won the FA Cup with Wigan-more than Moyesy did in his 11 years at Everton. (Nothing against Moyes mind, he did wonders for us. )

Martinez plays good attacking minded football, should make tickets worth their price.

He has Premiership experience, unlike Pereira.

Could possibly lead to signings like McManaman, Kone, Maloney and McCarthy. I doubt any of you would say no to signing any of those given the price was right.

Another point I would like to bring up is about the new badge. Yes, its not as great as past badges, its taken out the history of the club (NSNO), but it's a badge for God's sake, as a football club we should have better things to worry about than a badge, it doesn't change how we play on the pitch.

Just my opinions, I don't expect you Pereira fans to agree with me.

Everton 'til I die.

mattyofwilliams

1.) Klopp once got relegated too must be a poor manager.

2.) 28 May 2013 14:13:23
They don't speak for us all mate, I would love him here, it would stop all the moaners complaining we don't play attacking football, he may go to Malaga yet though lol

Degsy

3.) I agree with 100% of that.

28 May 2013 11:30:36
Once again I'm going to be pessimistic. Presuming we don't get Pereira, and we get one of the other candidates who are being interviewed, who would you prefer?

Phil Neville
David Weir
Alan Stubbs
Roberto Martinez
Michael Laudrup-bearing in mind this is unlikely as he's just signed a new contract with Swansea
Malky Mckay
Roberto Di Matteo {Ed025's Note - i would want martinez..

mattyofwilliams

1.) Out of that list for me it would be Di Matteo

Dog Puke Peter

2.) Martinez for me. Neville has gone to United, don't want Weir or Stubbs, Laudrup will cost too much and Di Matteo is overrated.

Relegation making manager? you've got to be joking-he's been managing Wigan, he's done miracles keeping Wigan in the Premiership in the first place.
And you're another one moaning about the badge? Yes, its not as good as past ones, but its a badge for God's sake. NSNO
