Why doesn't BK and the board put 10 million on Hope Powell at 200/1 to be our next manager, sack her after 1 day for Pereira/Martinez, and voila! There's our new stadium and future transfers sorted in a 1er. far fetched I agree, but not as far fetched as the amount of posters on here who claim to know a "reliable source". We'll get who we get when we get him. or her, if Hope Powell does get the job

Park Ender

1.) Best post in ages
Uncle Ben

2.) Can't fault that plan mate, but let's give her a month, she might be good!

3.) I think he might go to jail if that happened

4.) Could be are best hope!

As of 8. 15 tonight, Neil Lennon is favourite to be our new manager with bet365, Ladbrokes, Billy Hill, and Paddy Power. Absolutely NO! Don't want him near our club, absolute nightmare

Park Ender

1.) You would be lucky to have Lennon. Has more European experience than Moyes and has much less of a transfer budget every season. Lennon will not leave Celtic for Everton anyway {Ed025's Note - lets hope not!..

2.) I will support Liverpool if this happens

3.) You'll support Liverpool lol. He's won the spl got into the last 16 of the cl and your threat is to support liverpool. Really want you as a fan. Go and support them. Never heard anything so stupid in my life

4.) He won the spl because Celtic were the only team in it

5.) No they wasn't there was 11 other teams in the SPL.

Look at this stat

EPL-20 teams-only Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea ever win it (Man City and Blackburn won it once. Yawn.

SPL-12 teams-only Celtic and Rangers ever win it

EPL 17 teams play for nothing.

SPL 10 teams play for nothing (Before Rangers demise).

EPL is vastly overrated the only fans that say the EPL is the best in the world are the EPL fans.

6.) Rangers won the league every other year and went bust your league is a joke mate, keep playing 90mins behind the ball in the champions league next year its great to watch

When Moyes took charge it seemed we were possibles for relegation, he saved us. Within 12 months we'd moved up a level, mid table security. Then he improved us further, champs league qualifying position, again, another level. Since then he has regularly got us in and around European qualifying league placings. Yes, in all this time we've failed to win a trophy, but surely that has more to do with the board failing to back him financially rather than Moyes himself. Does any Evertonian seriously believe another manager could do better with the meagre budget that our board provides? Personally, I don't. But its all about opinions, all I ask fellow Blues, is be careful what you wish for, at least the doubters anyway, if this fella had half the money Liverpool, Newcastle, Spurs, and the mega rich clubs had to spend i'm sure the trophy cabinet would look far more attractive. Its not the manager that needs changing fellas, its the non entities that hold the power of the club, but whatever happens over the next few months, Euro qualification or not, new manager or not, we'll support you evermore

Park Ender

1.) Couldn't say it any better myself.

2.) 18 Mar 2013 07:01:27
Michael Laudrup

3.) Spot on PADDOCKBLUE

4.) So michael laudrup is better than moyes? after 2/3 of a season and 1 cup? really?

5.) My spot on was for the orginal op PADDOCKBLUE

6.) Since he`s been at Everton he`s had bad luck losing key players at key stages. Qualifying for the Champions League and losing Carsley, then losing Yakubu, Arteta and Jagielka in 08-09 and still getting to the FA cup final. Who knows what would have happened with these players fit, but i`d rather they were in the side at the time.

7.) Very true, afterall Charlton got rid of Curbishley because he could only finish 6th and look what happened to them.

8.) Fine words Park Ender! BlueTone

Apparently this striker that we've been linked to tonight looks s*** hot on youtube. So good in fact, that most of us, (if not all of us if we're honest, have never heard of him) I hope that, if we do indeed sign him, he goes on to be a world beater, but pardon me for not getting too over excited just yet.

Bit of a strange question, granted, and not intended to provoke any silly predictions. How many times, since the advent of the Premier league, have we been within 15 points of the league leaders in the last week of January? Genuine question, just curious.

Down, distraught, angry, peed off, etc, etc. And I could go on, but I won't, because every poster on here knows where I'm coming from. I've thought long and hard before writing this post, since the end of that debacle tonight my head has been spinning with so many emotions, all of which surround anger. I, like the rest of you, could give a 101 reasons, and probably more, as to why we are in the mess we're in, Martinez, Kenwright, money and so on are just a few. At my age fellas (49), I've seen the good the bad and the ugly of our great football club, both at home and away, domestically and in Europe, and tonight was certainly down there amongst the low points. But the overall point I'm trying to make lads/ladies, is that when the dust settles, not just from tonight but indeed the whole season, then we'll take our summer break, brush ourselves down, and we'll turn up again on the first day of the new season ( hopefully still in the top flight ) full of optimism, because it's what we do, as Evertonians. We've all got blue blood on this website, and as much as it hurts like hell at the moment, and my God it does, WE'LL SUPPORT YOU EVERMORE

{Ed025's Note - good post park ender..

(continued) 2014 came and teams had started working us out. For us matchgoers it was like watching the same game every week, only the opposition wore different colours. Press our midfield, nullify our full backs, square pegs, round holes, etc etc. Bobby consistently refusing to change our style, and playing certain regular underperformers weekly. I accept a manager has to be stubborn, but surely this is taking the piss?. The overall conclusion is that we are going backwards rapidly. I, like many others wanted this man to be the real deal, he promised so much, but at the moment is delivering less than little. I would give absolutely anything for him to turn this around, but while his attitude seems to be " it's my way, like it or lump it", then surely he has to go. Never forget fellas, this club is his job, but Everton is our life. I hope, massively, that I'm wrong, I really do, but in my 49 years, 46 of which I've been going the games, this is the first time I'm considering binning my season ticket, thoughts?

In with you PE, more than once this season, I've actually felt we deserved to lose because of the way we played. And it is getting repetitive. For me, I reckon RM has the next 3 games to change his act and improve ( or atlrast sgow willingness to improve. ) before he gets the boot.

Been a while since I posted, but after what we've seen in recent times, I feel I have to add my tuppence worth, reference the team, and Martinez. Just my opinion fellas, so obviously feel free to agree or disagree. Firstly, the plus points. This manager came in and replaced the previous boss( who I was a massive fan of ) and brought with him a positivity, a belief, and a style, the like of which we hadn't seen at Goodison, consistently, for a good few years. He bought and borrowed players whom, added to what we already had, gave us the belief that we were building something special at our club, and up until Christmas of 2013, everything was excellent. Things slowed down in the new year, but we got as far as 33/34 games before our Champs league dream ended. It hurt like hell, but with the progress we'd made, this season held nothing but promise, Robbie's our man eh?

The Stoke fans must of been complaining about being charged 45 bullets next season then, they all funked off at half time!

Jimmy, all valid points mate, and God knows, I've possibly been the kid's biggest critic, but in all fairness, Barkley never made all the hype, that's down to the press and media. I personally have never seen, consistently, what these fellas allegedly see, not at all. but like you and most other Blues, I've seen flashes. But maybe, by playing him in his rightful position( which I believe to be behind two strikers), added to a decent coach, then maybe, just maybe, we might have a future gem on our hands. I'm a lifelong Blue who's been down this road many times before, Christ, I remember a 17 year old, Martin Murray from Home Farm, Dublin, being hailed as the next George Best, we signed him and never heard of him again! I'm not saying Barkley is the second coming, far from it, but given the right circumstances, he might just go on to be an Everton legend. but I'm not holding my breath

Park Ender

{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with any of that PE..good post..

Good luck with the relegation fight pal, I've a strong liking for the Mackems, after serving 14 years in the forces I met many good lads from your city and had a good few nights up there, i'm sure you'll be fine tho, especially if you win at the weekend. A nice end to the season would be for your lot to stay up and for Pardew's crowd to drop, never liked that fella. Anyhow, good luck again, and hope to be playing you twice next season. FTM!
