I know the manager has a lot of responsibility in this club and he's made mistakes but I believe given a decent squad he would do well. I put most of the blame on whoever is having the final say on recruitment. We've had so much time, in recent seasons, and enough money to sort out the obvious flaws and necessities to progress up the table. Yet here we are again, treading water above the bottom 3. And here we are again pitching new managers and I got to say its almost become the norm for us. Yes, there's plenty of the season left, but who do we look like beating? Every game now looks tricky at best.
We can sack FL but I believe that would be a mistake right now. But if we don't strengthen our attack next month then how much of that would be his doing? (Thats a genuine question btw)

The squad is poor and is unbalanced. Whilst that isn’t just Frank’s fault, we desperately needed to get our recruitment right as funds are limited. Losing Richy and gaining Maupay and McNeil has weakened us. Two poor signings.

Agreed JB, but surely Lampard and Thelwell have to be jointly responsible for Maupay and Mcneil? 30+ Million wasted on those two, the same 30+Million should have been spent on 1 forward, for what those two will contribute over a season, I'm pretty sure we could have got more value for money from 1 player, LFC have just signed Gakpo for similar money, and Wolves have brought Cunha in, quality over quantity for me.

Personally Ed, I believe we have become to reliant on the Coady/ Tark at the back axis. I know people may see that as sacrilege almost, but I'm hoping that with Godfrey and his pace back, it may allow us to go back to 3 5 2 and push further up the pitch, sitting too far back is killing us, especially trying to play out from the keeper, we're too slow at it, teams just press straight away and it's back to pickford, the centre backs make more passes than anyone in the side, but we go nowhere Gana is not good enough on the ball, Onana is better, but if he sits in like he did against Wolves, we lose his threat in attack, the overall pace of our play has to improve, its pedestrian.

{Ed025's Note - its very pedestrian danny your right, i dont know if godfrey will improve that though mate as he was one of the biggest culprits of the playing the ball back to the keeper when he was in the side..

You're probably right about Godfrey Ed, the outlook is pretty bleak at the moment, we need a "Jelavic type" singing, someone who will get on a hot streak in front of goal, 1 touch finish stiker.
