Why are we so quick to write off British managers on here.
I mean people desperate for a guy who won the French league once. But wasn't he an assistant at Portsmouth? Or a guy who used to be good but who's last job was in China.
We have some good young British managers, but people's obsession with "what have they won". Well you know what we had one of those, the football was awful, and he didn't have the bottle to take on the challenge.
For me Potter has served his apprenticeship and it's now time for him to take the next step. His teams play good football, and play to win. They didn't fold when City went two nil up. They came back and won three two. That shows a team that has character, heart and will fight for their manager.
Isn't that what we have been asking for?

Tbf most managers have come from behind and won games.

Totally agree Woburn. Non of these up and coming English managers get a chance to develop at a bigger club. If nobody gives them a chance how will they ever get away from the …. what have they won shouts etc. Wouldn’t be unhappy with potter.
