Hey guys,

I don't know about everyone else but this transfer window seems huge. Not just blaming individuals, past or present, but collectively there seems to be something very wrong at our club.
Too much time and money has been spent on mediocrity and now more than ever with the effect of C.V. and FFP regulations, which the Eds have explained will not disappear it seems more difficult than ever to rectify the mistakes that have been made.
I hope I am wrong but how do we flog the deadwood at the club? We have seen how close West Ham have come to relagation and on paper their squad is as good as ours.
I am usually a glass half full type of guy but our performances since the Spurs game til the end of the season were awful.
What do you guys think? How do we get out of this rut?

C.V. not cv.

I think relegation is looming, we do not have enough time before the season starts again to put it right.

Skylark I hope yours and my gut instinct that we are in serious trouble is wrong, but something just doesn't add up with the noises coming out of the club. Saying that, the last time I felt like this was after we signed Marcus Bent, no disrespect to him, because we qualified for the champions league!

I just think we have to many average players if not all of them and it will be hard to sell them on . we need a whole new squad and we don't have the time or Money to put it right before the season starts.

Relegation - come on!
We are not going to be near relegation.

If you look at the teams above us - who realistically can we compete with next year:

I’d say shef Utd, Burnley, Spurs, Southampton, Wolves and Leicester - to be in that group is where we belong at the minute 6th - 12th

Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal will be too strong (possibly not arsenal)

We should be above Leeds, WBA, Newcastle, villa, West Ham, Fulham/ Brentford, palace, an Brighton
If we are with this group next year then I think Brands has to go.

At the end of the coming season all the deadwood that previous mangers have signed will be gone we will hopefully be in a much better place financially. If the club can bring in the players that CA requires to keep us ticking over till that time and keep us in mid table mediocrity then we hopefully will be able to push on. You can't sell players people don't want to by so it look like we will be stuck with a fair few till their contracts run down.

We will still be left with a lot of deadwood after this window even, I think it will take few windows to get rid of the players we want gone to be honest.
