I have been saying for months that our so called "top players". Stones, Lukaku and Barkley are only Top Players in their own minds! The media have been bigging them up since last season and they have started to believe it to such an extent that they think they only have to turn up and put in mediocre displays week in week out. If I had put in a shift in work as bad as Lukaku played against Liverpool. I would have received a warning or been told not to bother coming in the next day. Its not just Lukaku, but He's making all the noises along with his Father and his agent about needing to be with a big club and wanting to play Champions League Football next season. SO DO THE EVERTON FANS WHO PAY HIS BLOODY WAGES! As a team we don't challenge until the opposition are just outside our box and queueing up for shots and there is no cohesion from defence through midfield it's a joke. We don't have many shots at goal, & we don't trouble opposing centre backs often enough. Ross Barkley is a lazy sod who doesn't tackle much at all and is only a moderate threat thesedays going forward. These players just think they are good. they are average at best. Barkley has not improved as expected and other midfielders are doing the business for their teams. Stones appears to be wanting away and as stated Lukaku wants to leave. We have to replace Martinez asap. my choice would be Frank De Boer from Ajax. if he would come. think he might do now because of the money Mr Moshiri is pledging to spend this summer. Nearly 3 years ago a 21/ 22 year old midfielder converted from a left full back was transferred from Spurs to Real Madrid for a World Record Fee? We have a 22 year old Goalscoring Striker. one of the top young strikers in world football and the transfer fee being touted is around £65m? If Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd or PSG etc want Lukaku then the Transfer Fee should be more than the £85m that Gareth Bale went for! Everton should be asking for £90m+. the lad scores goals. Hopefully whoever the new manager may be will demand that none of the players leave and Moshiri can now afford to do this and tell them they are still under contract to Everton. I for one didn't expect Everton to get a result today at Wembley, but at least they had a go. to little to late though for most fans eh? But Lukaku should have scored at least 2 or 3 goals, and he misses a penalty. and he wants to play for a Top Team? Young Doctors who save lives everyday are striking at the moment and get paid buttons. these players are average at best and the fans are making them MULTI MILLIONAIRES. just for playing Football! Very Sad. Martinez hasn't got a clue how to move our Club on. let's move him on and get someone in who can do just that. longterm. COYB.

A lot of contradiction there with Lukaku, how can you tear him apart like that and then go and say he should be sold for £90 mil + . I thought stones in the second half was immense and is easily going to become one of the best centre backs in the league. Barkley admittedly has been off this season but there's no doubting his talent. Lukaku's finishing and touch were p*ss poor today but he got into so many good positions today and was making some immense runs into the box. On another day he would have got 2 or 3. We will struggle to replace Lukaku, no matter what we get for him. Stones and Barkley need to stay.

Stones keeps making the same errors of judgment over and over again, the talent is obviously there and I refuse to believe that he is not getting one to one coaching, therefore he is either thick or Martinez is telling him it doesn't matter. I just wonder if a Sports Psychologist has been considered.
