For Martinez to come out with his latest statement 'I am the right man to take Everton forward' then clearly there has not been an emergency meeting or the Club have told him to carry on. If that is the case then the Club clearly do not have the fans/ supporters best interests at heart.
There is little point now in having Martinez in charge for the rest of the season, his continued stay will only muddy the waters for any incoming Manager. One of the first things our new owner will surely address is the PR/ Communications Department.

Right, we played very well second half and gutted we lost but that should now spell the end of Mr Martinez. Far from taking the Club forward - albeit with supposedly the best Squad since the 80's - he has presided over our lowest finishes in 11 years, made proud statements of there is no plan B, doesn't think goals from free kicks and corners are real goals and the worst home record in our 138 year history. Even Mr Kenwright should admit enough is enough.

We didn't play very well second half, we were ok. And ok was a big improvement on the first half.

Shogs, said the same thing myself but if he should we will be relegation material next season, it is obvious that RM and his staff have no intention of changing their methods. It really is time to leave but unfortunately Mr Kenwright does not think like the rest of us.

totally agree with woburn, we wasn't great 2nd half we just started playing a bit. We looked off the pace until the penalty miss but then we realised we could get at them. Now the cup is over, I hope the board see sense and sack this clown.

Yes the players bear some responsibility but think about this. He brought the same team with him that got Wigan relegated, insisted on changing the system so that a successful defensive unit look like a Sunday morning Team. The one success (Lukaku's form) is down to one of our own (Big Dunc) . His constant optimism and refusal to admit his methods just do not work have become wearing, resulting in the fans and players confidence being sucked dry, culminating in that embarrassment.
The board in particular Mr Kenwright, just have to see what is going on or perhaps the accusation of incompetence could be leveled at them. Finally, today I have to pick up my wonderful Grand Son, who this season turned to the dark side, what the heck do I say to him.

As soon as Bill retained the Chairmanship I had an inkling that no matter what happened RM would stay. I just do not know how owners and chairmen cannot see the obvious failure he has been in the Premiership. What the heck is the atmosphere going to be like for the rest of the season, if he stays.

What and we do not need him now. This person (refuse to be abusive) has destroyed what is apparently the best Squad this Club has had since the 80's. A great deal of deconstruction needs to happen and DM is just the man. He did it last time, by first of all making us unbeatable. The problem with Martinez methods is in order for them to work then you must have a solid defence, this bloke just blithely writes them off. Deplorable for a on the surface clever man.

Ah right SkyLark you will pay to watch this one but not to watch Moyes, one has taken us from 5th (while our defence was still in tact and playing the Moyes way) to 11th and probably the same this season, while the other kept us in regular top 8. Oh and progress under Martinez has meant that Everton now have the worse home record in their 138 year history.

I said it before and I will say it again, Stones is not a Centre Back, I believe his true position is in front of the back four, from there he will be able to drive us forward at will.

Stones keeps making the same errors of judgment over and over again, the talent is obviously there and I refuse to believe that he is not getting one to one coaching, therefore he is either thick or Martinez is telling him it doesn't matter. I just wonder if a Sports Psychologist has been considered.
