In my humble opinion, in the past, Kenwright, Moyes, Martinez, etc., could always point to the club's lack of funds and the aging (crumbling? ) stadium as reasons why we weren't consistent challengers for trophies or CL qualification.
I know those reasons (excuses? ) don't wash with many fans as adequate explanations for poor performances and poor results, but the lack of funds was a fact and the state of GP is a fact.
This all changes now with Mr Moshiri coming into our club.
We'll have funds to recruit - and, just as importantly, retain - top-quality players.
We'll also have the wherewithal to get a modern stadium (be that a redeveloped GP or a new site) .
Now there can be no excuse for not making the progress we expect/ demand (and were promised by BK/ RM) . I've little doubt that FM - while giving people a reasonable chance to prove themselves - will be ruthless in addressing any failure to deliver the success we all crave. It'll be a fascinating journey.

There are a lot of clubs who now have billionaires in charge of there clubs and there are only x amount of good players and trophies to win we all can't win so we are going to end up with a lot of miserable billionaires in our league only one team can win the league.

Skylark: Very true. At least our investor appears to be interested in developing our football club and not just using us as a lucrative (telly money, etc. ) personal income stream.
My original point was that whatever happens, the likes of BK, RM, etc., can have no excuses about lack of finances being behind any future lack of progress and success.

Agree with you both. There are a few billionaires running clubs in the league but not all of them can win. I believe we have touched lucky with our new owner, patience is a virtue!

This is not the same as the man city takeover, I think this is quite a unique takeover actually.
It's happened at a time when owning a PL club is at its most bankable and the risk is much less provided you stay in the PL.
I think the overly sentimental Kenwright finding his 'perfect' investor etc is genuinely quite positive as I know he's got the clubs best interests at heart.
How many other clubs can say they have a manager, a chairman and an owner who all are invested so strongly into improving the club and care so much about its long term future, it's no surprise that on average EFC holds onto its players longer than any other club. Fact.

Surely Leicester have shown this year its not all about the biggest bank account, but a good manager and a committed team that have come through!
