Swan agree with most of that except I would have McCarthy instead of Carsley. Was Brett angel not before Moyes reign.

I would have to have Gravesen in there somewhere, he was a boss in the midfield.

Swan, just a couple points. Surely there been worse players than Phil neville. Not sure moyes had pleasure of working with angell but did he not have Kevin Campbell? I suppose the most important thing is how many of the current squad get in the best squad, not just from moyes era but since howards 80's team. We really do have a potentially great squad.

Kevin Campbell was boss though. You could include Beattie instead of Angell instead. He kept saying he was going to go on a scoring run and never did. The only thing I really remember him doing is headbutting a Chelsea player and getting sent off.

Also, your best team is pretty spot on. But for the worst what about Simon Davies, Magaye Gueye, Royston Drenthe, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Espen Baardsen?

Wasn't sure on Angell, I know he was here during the Prem era, could swap him out for Gueye.

On Neville, I know he could point and shout with the best of then but as a Footballer, I don't think he had anything going for him.

Anyone who puts Tim Howard in their worst ever team off the back of a bad games at the end of their career just can't be taken seriously! Seriously Robles in ahead of him lol

Also Carsley in ahead of Gravesen, McCarthy, Barry, Arteta.

You should take up comedy Swan!

Many bad games throughout his career, he isn't declining, he's always been like this. Knew you would defend him mate. I hope you don't think he was better than Nigel Martyn, then you would be a comedian.

Arteta was overrated, poor set piece delivery (he'd fit right in now) , injury prone and about as bang average a midelder as you can get. Carsley was so underrated, did Barry and McCarthy's job by himself.

Would never have McCarthy, not good enough on the ball to even be considered.

Certainly not as good as Martyn but worth a place on the bench. You have included a guy in your team who has played about 10 games ahead of him and I'm sorry but that's just ridiculous!

Carsley was a terrible footballer so your point about McCarthy doesn't hold up I'm afraid. He did a good job for us and I'm not trying to knock him but we have had many better players.

As for Arteta if he hadn't left for Arsenal you would not think that. It's supposed to be a best ever team not a best ever (not including the ones that pissed me off) team! :)

Think everybody would agree with your back 5. But goes down hill from there. McCarthy is a better footballer than Carsley ever was. I love the guy but was terrible on the ball. But anyway, you are missing gravesen,McCarthy, arteta (before his injury was the best player In our squad for a few years) and Rooney. On the worst team, Angel was never a moyes player and was actually way before his time, Howard over Richard Wright? Give your head a wobble.

I already explained I wasn't sure on Angell, Arteta was never our best player, nor did Rooney ever do anything for us. Like Barnsley putting John Stones as their greatest ever Centre Back. Never liked Arteta even before he left, Honest Blue, Carsley could actually read the game, McCarthy couldn't, my point on McCarthy is he doesn't make up for his lack of a footballing brain with good ability, Carsley had one of them. Howard could be swapped out I suppose, but he should definitely be on the bench. Baardsen only made one appearance, terrible but Howard at least played a lot of games. Kroldrup is in there because I literally couldn't think of anyone else even though he just played one game.

That's fair enough, we are all entitled to our opinions and all that. People see the same player in different lights, I personally though arteta was one of the best midfielders in the prem for a couple of seasons. Rooney wasn't here long but have never and probably never will be as excited about a player in the rest of my time as a Everton fan. Don't forget he was the twice the player at 17 years old than he has been in the last 10 years at United.

14.) 10 Dec 2015

So Rooney can't go in because he didn't play enough games but Robles can!?

Bit strange that considering he played more games than Robles has.

As for Arteta to each his own but I got to agree with Honest blue. After Cahill he was easily our best player for at least 2-3 seasons!

Also to suggest that Howard is worse than the likes of Wright, Myhre, Gerard, Mucha etc. simply means your team can't be taken seriously! Sorry.

One of the best midfielders we have had over the last 20 odd years and not a mention in anyones squad, surely Joe Parkinson has to have a mention even if he only makes the subs bench, damn shame his career ended too soon.
