New kit deal - 35m over 5 years, have the club thought about what there going to loose on future lack of sales? This is not the 80's people don't go for the likes of Umbro, Gola or Hummel, I didn't even buy any of the Le qoc sportif merchandise for that exact same reason, Bill get your head out of your backside, all this making us more marketable is a load of tosh!
I'm never happy am I Ed lol

{Ed025's Note - your not baz...try eating some chocolate instead of sucking them lemons mate..

I'll try that Ed but in the mean time I'll just vent lol,
Are we indirectly funding Newcastle United? as Umbro cr@p is usually sold from the likes of Sports Direct!

I don't think it's that bad. It a kit if everton are making more money than the nike deal which was obviously only a two year deal why not even arsenal have left nike and gone to puma 60mil for 5 years. It's not that bad as everyone is making out, we are currently not in the cl so it's a good deal

I didn't realise that having a diamond on our shirts will see us relegation favourites for next season.its just a make.my mates wear clothing makes I wouldn't wear but I still talk to them and see them regularly.no pleasing some people.Barca had kappa make their kits a while back but people bought the shirts even though it was considered a chavvy make country wide.

No one has mentioned anything to do with relegation, yes it's a make, what I'm getting at is marketing value, worldwide Umbro has how much appeal, zero IMO, you only have to look on the JD app to try and find any Umbro related football equipment, because I can't find any, I mention JD as I'd say that's the main sports store in the UK these days and that's where I'd go for my lads boots equipment etc
It's just a backwards move IMO

The only people who I hold to blame for this new deal are the fans. Nike supposedly pulled out of the deal because the design of the new badge on the 14/15 shirts was a cost they were unwilling to incur. Yes it's great that we spoke out about the badge, but don't be blaming the club when we hold 50% of the blame.

Whatever the umbro deal is - wouldn't it have been better to negotiate a deal, or wrap up a deal, at the end of the season when there's the slight possibility we could be in the CL and would be in a stronger bargaining position?

7.) 04 Feb 2014
Don't have a go at Bill for this! If you want a new owner look at Cardiff, I would take umbro over turning the kit red any day!

8.) 04 Feb 2014
What's that got to do with the price of fish?

9.) 04 Feb 2014
Could be worse. At least we're not with Warrior!

Absolutely and I'm old enough to remember the 1970s home shirts with the Umbro criss cross long sleeves worn by Mick Lyons, Martin Dobson and Andy King et al. They were classy and matched the stadium designs around the Gwladys Street and Bullens Road stands.
At the end of the day money is what we need and if Umbro are offering us a better deal than Nike then we go for it.
