According to ssn the allegedly '32' yr old Yak is back in the country. We'll probably end up getting him because he's 'in a good moment' in his career according to RM.

I'm massively disappointed in the appointment, I feel it shows a huge lack of ambition on BK's part. I seriously hope the rumours of some of the players he might bring in (in particular Alcaraz) are wide of the mark. How can bringing in a load of freshly relegated players help us push on to the CL?
I don't understand how barely keeping a team in the PL for 3 seasons then getting relegated can be viewed as successful, when he never managed to correct the teams failings at the back. I know they won the FA cup this year, hammering us in the process, but Bradford city got to a cup final this year, it doesn't mean we should get their manager.
If we get top half next season i'll be surprised. I know people will say that we have better players, but it's the manager who determines tactics and I think he'll have us playing some bizarre formation at the back. Thus ruining are best attacking force Baines.
I'm sure people will disagree and I really hope i'll be back on hear in 9 months admitting I was wrong, but I don't think I will.

I've got to say i'm not overly impressed to be getting Martinez (probably) as the new manager. However, it could be a damn site worse, it could be Hughes or Lennon. Every cloud has a silver lining.

Anyone has got to be an improvement over Barry this season. I'd take Charlton Palmer coming out of retirement over Barry TBH!

I rate Caulker as a player but don't see the point of signing him. We have Jags, Distin, Stones, Alcaraz and Duffy already, so would like to think we use our mony to strengthen up front and in midield.

I would say that we haven't actually improved our squad, and if anything we are weaker. We've sold Jela who I have always rated, even though the goals had dried up you couldn't fault his effort, and brought in an injured forward who has no experience of the Premiership. Also, come May we are going to be left with no recognised striker at the club!
I hope we keep Jela, as I have always rated him. You can't fault his effort or his professionalism over the last 12 months, which have been pretty horrid for him. I hope that he can go on a run of goals now and get back to his best.
I was at the game and Felli looked good to me. I got the impression he was enjoying playing in his preferred deeper role as it let him get stuck in much more.
The player who didn't look interested to me was Pienaar, I thought he had a really poor game and just seemed to wave a leg at the Norwich players instead of trying to actually tackle.
