If we have to sell in January then Onana would be the sale for me, if we can get a good price for him to ease our financial woes then so be it, Doucoure is a big miss for us at the mo and really hope he gets over his injury quickly.

{Ed025's Note - i would second that GB..

All well and good selling Onana, but the squad is threadbare, can we actually do without him for the rest of the season? Sell in the summer, yes, but not now surely?

{Ed025's Note - that will depend on the financial situation NOW Swinners, its no use getting half our deducted points back then getting 9 points more for going into administration mate, i dont want to lose anybody but sometimes..needs must..

Would not want to lose anybody mid season but if we have to sell and its between Onana and Branthwaite I'd sell Onana in a heartbeat, Branthwaite is special.

{Ed025's Note - count me in as well NP..

Where does this administration stuff come from? Compensation? Has any Club filed a claim? If so, on what evidence? Everton escaped relegatiion by getting more points, others were relegated by not winning enough points. There is no logic to any if this.

{Ed025's Note - i thought the same 5050 but it seems a real threat mate, it may come to pass that we are in the clear of course, but forewarned is four armed as they say..

Agreed. Not that I’d want to get rid but the ideal for me would be to sell him to Man Utd for maybe £30m and McTominay.

Need to keep Branthwaite at all costs as Keane and Godfrey aren’t good enough to be regular starters.

I hasten to add that we need to stop with the self pity. The stupidity of the owner and the board got Everton into this financial mess. It is up to the players to get us out of the relegation threat. All we can do is turn up and be positive in our support. I have to give a mention to our away supporters they really are made of strong stuff.

Read Ed 002s posts they will tell you what and what they will not do, very informative and the only real explanations on here, we are not out the woods by any means.

Of course we are not out of the woods although apparently we are taking steps with regard FFP apparently. It is the 'suggested'
financial injury being Evertons fault that I don't get. On what basis? Clubs got relegated through their own inabilities, loss of income is down to them. We spent more than we should but the quality brought in certainly didn't give us an advantage.

I do not wish to come across as stroppy and I know (reading posts) that the Eds have the patience of saints, with certainly more knowledge on Club goings on than I. Put it down to frustration. I shall in future keep to rumour and banter *plus a few moans when we lose*.

Not to worry blue 5050 that’s what is so good about this Forum site, Football its a game of opinions mate you carry on and post what ever you want it’s just as relevant as any one else’s posts, we are all Blues.

De Ja Vu GB, think I posted this a few hours before you. Seems like most are in agreement. Branthwaite would be very difficult to replace, he’s really a top player. Onana may develop in to one, but if someone wants to offer silly money, I don’t he’d be greatly missed.

I can see a real player in Onana and I hope we hold onto him for another good few years. There's also a great player developing in Branthwaite so hopefully we can keep both of them. They're both still developing and in 3-5 years both will be worth far more than they are now. If needs must before then, then we should look to other ways of cutting costs and making money. I don't know how but EFC are paying staff members huge salaries to come up with solutions, so let's hope they earn their wages.

Spot on Joe.
The only people who know what is going on player wise right now are Thelwell and Dyche, and if they are told we need to sell to recruit then they will make that decision.
If a player puts in a transfer request then they will have to decide on that, as far as I know t neither have happened yet.

If the 777 deal does not go through, I don't think it puts us in danger of administration, (a) there are, we are lead to believe, other buyer waiting to come in, and (B) our present owner has a clear insensitive to plug any financial gap, as he would recope far more of his investment by selling a premiership club than one in the championship.
