Bramley Moor Dock has been given the go ahead by the Government.

Great news, all these who wrote that it would not happen, hang your heads in shame.

2.) 26 Mar 2021 14:20:48
I'm not someone that said it would not happen, I was always more than hopeful that it would. But those that didn't think it would should 'hang their heads in shame'? Good grief.

3.) 26 Mar 2021 14:22:19
Can't you just accept the great news without a dig at people?

4.) 26 Mar 2021 16:48:06
Just get fed up with all the negative comments. How many times have we seen messages on this forum suggesting the new stadium would not happen. The club have done a fantastic job and there was no way the project would have been turned down by either the City council or the government.

5.) 26 Mar 2021 17:22:10
Well no stopping them now. Well done Mr Moshiri and crew. 👏👏.

6.) 26 Mar 2021 17:36:40
This will be a massive boost not only to the club, but also the people of Liverpool. A huge round of applause to everyone at the club. At last some positivity around this great club.

7.) 26 Mar 2021 18:12:05
It's understandable that some fans were apprehensive, there has been so many false dawns and broke dreams.
Great it's finally done now.

8.) 26 Mar 2021 18:30:57
Great news. Always been top of my bucket list to see it built and get in.

03 Mar 2018 16:12:51
Surely he'll not be there tomorrow.

Holgate, Funes Mori and Baines for the next game I hope.

Fluffy01016

1.) 03 Mar 2018 16:35:49
So predictable it's ridiculous. Not even upset, simply apathetic. What is the answer?

2.) 03 Mar 2018 17:36:11
Get rid!

Giroud and Siggursson and a little bit of wee will come out.

Fluffy if we get those two I might have to get a pacemaker fitted. Still keep thinking I might wake up and it will all be a horrible dream.

Landon Donovan to retire at end of season

Fluffy01016

1.) Shame if true quality pro liked him to return for another spell

2.) Real shame! loved him when he was at Everton, but all good things come to an end! Once a blue always a blue!

3.) Club should invite him over as a guest to a game. I am sure he would get a great reception.Good player.

{Ed025's Note - as a guest tedster?...i would get a kit on him mate, he would still be our best winger for me..

4.) Sad but I think all this is more to do with his fall out with klinsman, otherwise if he'd have gone to the world cup he'd be playing for a lot longer. Think your right there ed, maybe a loan move for him in Jan could help change his mind about retirement.

At the start of December would we have been happy with 12 points from a possible 21 given the teams we had to play?

Ignoring the 10 point deduction, at the start of November we had 14 points from 13 games. We now have 26 points from 20 games.

So, in December we earned 1.7 ppg vs 1.1ppg prior

Clearly we're improving and the Spurs game we could have won, Man City beat us but we played well. Today we were crap and we need to take it on the chin, regroup and go again in 2 weeks (league) when hopefully Dacoure is back and fit

Enjoy the new year fellow blues.

1.) 31 Dec 2023 09:00:23
Think it's clear that with the 1st 11 fit we can cope, we have ok cover for one or 2 injuries but when we are forced to play gomes/ Kean etc then we are in trouble.

2.) 31 Dec 2023 09:35:36
Yeah I agree. Yesterday was very poor. The formation didn't work but it also just confirms how bad a defender Keane is. I would rather try Godfrey over Keane.

3.) 31 Dec 2023 10:22:26
Saw Harrison play centrally for Leeds lots of times, would prefer this, and get Danjuma or Dobbin wide. If the players are knackered, give those on the bench a game.

4.) 31 Dec 2023 12:36:22
I don't get it. Dobbin scored a great goal for us and not had a look in since . Beto should get a start now over DCL. He should have scored y'day. Sorry to say this, he just isn't good enough at this level.

3 points from top 10

COYB.

Fluffy01016

1.) 29 Oct 2023 16:38:57
Or as 19 other clubs want 2 points from zero.

2.) 29 Oct 2023 18:04:08
It seems some on here do sometimes.

23 Sep 2023 20:27:48
Gana was poor today but rest of team were great. Special credit to Branthwaite, Dacoure and Garner who were class.

2 big home games against winnable opponents so need to push on and get 6 more points

Despite the great result, i recon we'll be last on MOTD and won't get any credit.

Fluffy01016

1.) 23 Sep 2023 21:37:24
Poor he was awful, needs replacing but by who. My scope is replace Gueye with onana, Garner to 10 and Danjuma to wing.

2.) 24 Sep 2023 09:16:02
Midfield of McNeil, Dacoure, Garner and Danjuma. Beto and DCL up front.

23 Jun 2023 11:57:11
So Bill is staying as Chairman and Moshiri is joining the board.

Fluffy01016

1.) 23 Jun 2023 13:18:57
moshiri joining the board could keep usmonov in the loop.

Any news on Seamus? Wish him all the best in his recovery.

Fluffy01016

1.) 02 May 2023 23:27:23
Won't see him play for us again. Such a sad end to an old skool pro who could and arguably should have gone to UTD all those years ago. Don't see many turn down a big move like that.

2.) 03 May 2023 07:35:26
He is and always will be a true blue.

3.) 03 May 2023 07:59:15
Maybe there could be new banners with “
Fight like Your Fans and Do It for Seamus”

Just maybe this will be a turning point!

With those who have left, is our wage bill currently back under control? In May we had the 10th best/ worst wage bill but with the likes of Mina leaving on £120k/ pw I’m sure that would have helped.

Fluffy01016

{Ed002's Note - It has to be considered in respect of turnover.}

Would try and keep Coady but ship the rest out. Tarks, Coady, Godfrey and Branthwaite as the CB’s.

Until 2025. New contract on the table but he’s apparently refused to sign.

How has Branthwaite done on loan? He looked like one for the future too and might be a good replacement for Holgate or Mina?

Don’t get the hype with Potter. Did ok at Brighton but they improved when he left. He didn’t do anything special at Chelsea and nothing since.

Agreed. Not that I’d want to get rid but the ideal for me would be to sell him to Man Utd for maybe £30m and McTominay.

Need to keep Branthwaite at all costs as Keane and Godfrey aren’t good enough to be regular starters.

Branthwaite will be a big miss but hopefully a chance to recharge ready for the Xmas games. Just hope Keane has a good game.
