On current form out of Harry Wilson and Townsend, I would say Wilson at £10 mill is the better deal. That to me says a lot about our FFP situation.

{Ed025's Note - i have to disagree DFS, wilson is an awful player and a one trick pony, takes a fine free kick but thats it mate, andros cost nothing so is by far the better deal for me..

Don't think that lot would sell to us either but it's a no from me.
I think Townsend might just be another Barry/ Distin/ gouge type signing and suprise us.

With Townshend your getting a good work rate and he will shoot once he cuts inside. How many of our wingers cut inside thdn passed it to middle of the box or back to defense?

We have to trust Rafa ( God that doesn't sound right ) he worked with Townsend at Newcastle so knows his ability and just as important his attitude. I will say having watched the boys training the speed they're moving the ball and their intensity is sky high compared to what's gone before . As for Gray, he's one of those players that have got nowhere near their potential. If we can get the best out of him it will be an inspired signing.

Totally agree megsey. townsend seems to have a great attitude and workrate and both players have pace. The early signs are that we have moved away from throwing money at players. I fancy both of them to prove to be good signings but worst case scenario if things don't work out for one or both of them it won't cripple us for years to come.
