i don't think this post went through before, what are the chances of us getting ancelloti? i've read that he is a manager who designs systems according to the players he has rather than forcing it down a team, i think he could be what we need at this point.

{Ed025's Note - i think ancellotti would have far better options than us on the table ET, he might of course want a project but i still dont think we would be of interest at this time mate..

As fans I think this is where part of our problem lies. We think we are a attractive proposition, I don’t think we have been since late 80’s. Bitter pill but closer to the truth than we would care to admit.

why not ed? i feel like there are a lot of selling points about everton
-in the premier league
-one of the biggest transfer kitties in the league
-a passionate fanbase
-ideals of european football
-a new stadium on the cards
-has quality in terms of player strength (which is something that people forget sometimes)
-we can probably make him one of the best paid managers in the league and considering he's still 58 he's still young, maybe he wants to take on a project that will have his imprint on the whole football club, i feel like we could really get him if we tried.

{Ed025's Note - my view is based on his history of managing high profile sides ET, im not saying it cant happen mate just that in my view its unlikely..

we are actually an attractive proposition
i wrote a post stating the reasons which made me think we are an attractive proposition.

He has moved to London and probably knows the Chelsea job is his with Conte making noises, we can only dream but in the real world, we haven't won a trophy in 23 years, we have never qualified for the Champions League proper and with the FFP we have not got the financial clout some fans think we have, regardless of our 'majority shareholders' wealth, so ask yourself this, is this the sort of job a Champions League, League winning in 4 different countries and very high profile manager takes? I think not.

{Ed025's Note - i agree gray..

I doubt a manager cares much about the fans.
All your points why we are attractive are not really um. attractive to a manager of his calibre.
New stadium is 4 years away so let's chalk that one off.
Passionate fans? As stated already.
Financial clout? Well he's used to clubs with that so again, unremarkable.
Good players? Um. ok keep taking your meds sunshine
Let's stop being deluded yeah.
