I'm a little confused about Joe Anderson's latest remarks about Bramley Moore Dock, the 10 Streets project and the city's bid for the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Is he saying if Everton get a new stadium at this location it will form part of the bid for the games (which in my mind reads it will host some of the events) or are there also plans for a separate sports stadium specially for the games?

Agreed, because no way on earth do we want a Stadium with a running track. G is great because we tower over the pitch which gives that amazing rocking atmosphere, and brilliance under lights.

{Ed003's Note - If designed right it will be fine after any athletics like The Etihad and not like The City of London fiasco which was not designed for being used as a football stadium afterwards.}

Know what u mean as per Etihad, as i was there for Commonwealth games but from what i'm told the atmosphere now is still poor. Correct me if i'm wrong, maybe just to do with the Citeh support?

Think idea is based on Celtic Park and how they were able to put temp running track in and back out in a few weeks.

It would make the stadium more expensive but the stadium could incorporate retractable seating, there is a story on newsnow that shows how it could be done.
